  1. Hi all. I have my own little brake light problem and would appreciate suggestions. I have checked the power in to the brake switch, check. I have checked the power out for the brake light switch with the pedal depressed, check. Yet, not brake lights - either side. The emergency flasher switch does light up the brake lights in the rear. What am I missing. Feels like something between the brake switch and the brake tails lights is broken....where to start looking? I looked up into the cavity at the rear where all the lights pass, nothing obviously broken, shorted, damaged.
  2. Can't trace the loss of brake lights. Any help would be appreciated. 1987 Defender 90 . No brake lights. At the switch, I have 12 volts. If I take the switch out of the cicuit and put a jumper in, I still have no lights. I am stumped other than to think that the wire heading down the chassis is broken or grounded. I have checked all the fuses. Any suggestions?
