    I think i have found where it goes. I can just make out the black sticky residue under or alongside the top door lock , from a split in the membrane. Which would be as Toby mentioned - Many thanks. Seems they should be fixed on with stronger than the black adhesive.

    Thank you Toby. I wonder if it's on the door by the outside door handle to take water away from that. I might ring landrover later. Just wondering how helpful they will be.

    Sorry my posts are not appearing. They need approval first. If it's for the summer roof would you know where it is positioned inside the door panel. As it's obvious come loose from where it should be.

    Sorry been trying to resize my photo. It's from a 52 plate Td5. It seems to be a drain aid of some sort as it has the same black sticky stuff as the plastic membrane in the door. The top hard plastic has a slot and it goes to a rubber tube.The slot is about 1cm thick.

    Hi please can anyone tell me what this part is for,and where it should go. As it was lying at the bottom of my drivers door when I took off the door card.
