  1. Recently had the pistons replaced on defender 110 (2002), run the engine in not above 80km for 1000km, unfortunately the day I was traveling south (3200km) after completeing a distance of 600km the engine stopped temperture gauge raised to red, opening the hood found out that the Thermostat Bleed/Fill Plug had blown. Situation is now the workshop that put in the new pistons are charging me for new replacement, question is should they have checked the condition of the Thermostat plug once completing the replacement of the pistons.
