  7. Neil, I know you don't need anyone to tell you... but I just thought I'd add my 2p's worth anyway... Class system works great, allows competitors to develop their trucks (quite a bit) and personally I used to get great satisfaction out of competing in our class 3 truck and sometimes getting up near the top 4th or 5th place overall... Well be back out next year in our new class 3 tubular trayback'd Jimny... in which we plan on giving the class 1/2 trucks a run for there money...

  10. Jerry is the chap who has my old nato green Samurai... it now has a big gay red sun on the doors...
  11. The tube Jimny will be class 3 for the time being... mid mounted GP84, 12v running with 24v shoved through it... Yota 70 axles, 3 linked front / rear, 37" creepey crawlers, 6.6.1 T-case. We'll run it like that until the end of next year whilst we build/compete in the new racer... and then the Jimny will get lockers, Hydro steer, quad-cam V6 and airshocks ect... then it'll be class 1...
  12. With our buggy... "class 1 " we was told by the scrut's that if we did not have a screen / mesh we could not compete at all... Same old story... none of them are on the same page...
  13. I think you'll find that the only things that would make you class 1 are... - Full Hyrdo steer - Rear Steer screen or fiddle brakes makes no odds... fiddles are allowed in any class... and if you have no screen you must have mesh, in any class... The only other thing that would make you class 1, is if they decide your truck looks more menacing than the others in your class... then they'll just chuck you in class 1 anyway... we'll that's what happened to us at Walters Arena a few years ago...
  14. Our ASBO Buggy has been sold... and we are now building two new vehicles, 1 veeery trick tubular bodied Suzuki Jimny... and an out and out single seat rock racer... gay MSA regs and US style buggies do not work and never will... So we are building a truck for each discipline... Tubular Jimny for Challenge... Single seat racer for the up coming 2011 British Dirt season...
  15. We'll be out to play again with our new weapon in round 4... New super light weight tricked up tubular Jimny... new co-dawg... should be interesting... Rob
  16. after the slow start Saturday and course modifications on morning, we got it all running quickly and efficiently... not long after that you broke your hub... shame you didn't get to race when it was in full flow! especially on Sunday, whole sets of heats were taking no more that 30 Min's... But with breakages and the front flip with the Jimny, there were a few delays here and there... Now we know exactly how to build the course correctly right off the bat and how to run the format correctly without delays... Meaning we'll be able to nail it spot on for the next event.
  17. Ha, awesome... Almost 1/2 a minute ahead, ged'er done! Chromo shafts in this week then we can kick it up a notch for the next round...
  18. great event guys and gals... good fun sections and a great venue... Neil, don't suppose you have the top 3 times for SS1 to hand do you?... interested to see what sort of gap there was in it...
  19. I spoke to Rob yesterday and he says they will be there... couldn't remember his login details for the awdc site though... Neil, worth giving him a shout to let him know there is a deadline?
  20. I think we're pretty much good to go... Got a photo shoot on Thursday, then we just need to fab some $hit guards (again) and an exhaust deflector, n' we're good to go... (didn't want to attach the homosexual parts before the photo shoot)
