  1. Wow spcollins just what I wanted, great link with loads of valuable photos. Attached are photos of the old flywheel (top) and new flywheel that came with conversion kit (bottom) can anyone tell me if this is correct for the application as I haven't got a clue what it's from. I'm assuming it's a SD1 but not sure how I tell. It is thicker than the diesel one I've just removed. I'm working on the fact that I'll need to redrill and fit the diesel clutch to this flywheel reading other posts.
  2. Hi. new to this forum, I've got a series 2a that had a 2 1/4 diesel (very tired) in it. Ive got hold of a Rover 3.5l from a P6S which I'm trying to install. Can anyone tell me how to fit the clutch and modify the crank? i have a conversion kit which I bought from EBay it has a thinner flywheel (think from a SD1) plus adapter that fits in the centre of the flywheel, from what I've read people say the crank needs to be cut down but I can't find anywhere that gives me a dimension about how much to cut off. It would be great if I could find a site that points me in the right direction to ease this task, I'm sure this has been asked a thousand times but this is a first for me so any help would be appreciated.
