  6. HI You dont need the remote to test, you could insert wires into the winch remote pin holes, one will be a permanent live once isolator is on, find the live and then touch one of the other two wires onto the live and providing your winch is wired up and the motor is ok you should get the winch to turn, the other wire touched onto the live will cause the winch to turn in the other direction If your test is successful then you could track down a remote lead or better still buy one of the heavy duty solenoid conversion kits and do away with the remote lead and have a couple of remote control units instead A word of caution when testing ensure nothing is able to be caught in winch drum when testing ( I would free spool cable off for testing ) as they have terrific power and can be very dangerous in the hands of an inexperienced operator ( not saying you are that though ) Hope this helps regards Stephen
  7. I agree with the big hammer approach although with some amendments Get a spreader pate to cover the area you want to knock in, also put a spreader plate on the inside as well, both spreader plates should be drilled to accept bolts that go through the cross member and plates, tighten bolts so spreader plate is pushing against the bulge, then hit with a BFH, bolts should slacken, repeat process of tightening and hitting until your happy that it has straightened out Regards Stephen

  18. Ok will cut to the 67mm, halfshaft reduces after that so the above is the max you will get on the short shaft Regards Stephen
  19. @dangerous doug What length do you want the splines cut, mog are 67mm and the landrover are 37mm, I think the mog axles allow the splines to slide a wee bit especially in the front anyway set up in the mill ready to start cutting Regards Stephen
