MOG LR hybrid axle build
Stellaghost replied to dangerous doug's topic in Modified Vehicle Builds & Special Projects
You probably know, the mog and Landrover TRE's are different tapers, Mog is 7 degrees and Landrover is 11 degrees. In my mog thread ( page 53 ) I made an 11 degree tapered reamer as the only ones I could find at the time were the 7 degree ones. I have both, one bought and one home made, could post them down if you need them Regards Stephen -

@stevebus and @92a on the egr probe bits I made you, I tapped to full depth of thread available on tap however, when @Peaklander came to fit his egr fitting it would not tighten up as ran out of thread, this may vary with fittings....as of writing I don't know In order for @Peaklander's to fit he carefully ground off a coup!e of threads on the fitting I made, this allowed his fitting to then tighten up fine, if either of you have an issue I would recommend you do this first Any future ones I make will not be tapped to full depth of tap Apologies for any inconvenience I've caused Regards Stephen

300tdi and r380 alignment in TDI 90 chassis?
Stellaghost replied to joe1's topic in Defender Forum (1983 - 2016)
It may be an optical illusion but engine and box seem to be sitting slightly diagonally in the chassis, a reposition of mounts should square things up. I wouldn't be overly concerned plenty modified trucks running only adequate clearances Regards Stephen -
It would, realistically I would need to polish the ship back and start again, I will take it into work next week and see if the guy I'm making it for is happy with it, his opinion counts the most really I suppose Regards Stephen
