  2. Pinched this off the net, do a google search for series stub axle.
  3. Oh its not over yet, wait till you drive it and get them all wet............ Kidding....... well done for managing to get them working, your other test will be trying to live with them. G
  4. I drilled mine in place, then cut the tread in the manifold. Used grease on the bits to collect as much swarf as i could, thengot a shop vac and sucked any remains after, 4 years later and its still there and nothing happened to the turbo or manifold. G
  5. Ralph, mine is different, i have a late servo and master, so i cannot comment. G
  6. Mine are also fine, no such issues. And mine is more of a mix, 110 master (1994 tdi200) and servo with 90 calipers all round (fronts are from a 96, rears are of an unknown origin) G

  8. I also have the proper stage 1 v8 manual, just had a look see in my manual archive! G
  9. If you want i have the manual for the lt95, but the 101 variant. its basically the same box, just a shorter bell housing. G
  10. I believe its due to the very short exhaust, nothing alarming, many trucks tend to have the same noise. I love its noise! G
  11. Well usually its the servo, but i would start to see first if the rover setup is generating the vacuum in the first place. Try and hook up a vacuum gauge and see if the system is generating vacuum. There is some where on one of the forums on how to set up the system correctly, as anything out of setting on the inlet butterfly will make the system malfunction. I have no first hand experience with such a system but some say its easy to setup, while i have heard it can be a real pig to get any sort of result. G
  12. Hi, is it a diesel? do you have the original rover vacuum system? A way to test the servo is to put your foot on the pedal, as soon as you start the car the pedal should sink slightly and stop. G
  13. no problem, let me know when you are going may be we meet
  14. Brilliant! Yeah saw the pics on FB, got all nostalgic, i need to get down there ASAP! Maybe next saturday. G
  15. Yes you could but they are still series 3 items, so fitting and chopping will still apply.......... G
  16. Well the sleeve needs to have holes as well, plus the poly bushes should be slotted (nothing a hacksaw wont fix) Its more of an experiment in my case, as i am fed up with squeaking from the rear front ones! G
  17. Could be, and that where it will end. In the US they have several of these bolts hence my curiosity. G
  18. Who remembers the gone to far suspension products site?? (fridge, you should) I am looking for 2 greasable spring bolts. Any one know if i can get a pair from somewhere?? I know the US guys have them, but in a land rover size?? Any ideas of what would be an equivalent fitment vehicle?? jeep? model? boq........ I could have a pair made but finding them ready always seems a better option..................unless they cost the earth! G
  19. Have a look at my build, defender servo with series wings (modified) defender inner arches and series bonnet. G
  20. I must have missed the 110 discs bit..................... Well i do not see it as a problem, but not with mr grinder! take it to a machine shop with a milling machine. Faces must be perfectly flat and parallel. G
  21. Some input on the subject............. When doing my conversion i encountered the same problem (3mm to much) when i used 90 discs, but in my case its more of a mish mash (series axle with discs, with 110 hubs). I used the 110 discs but i then needed to make spacers to line up the caliper bracket (like many others). To be honest its seems you will suffer the same faith, as putting 110 disks which are deeper on your hubs will make them hit the bracket. As to calipers, i used 90/disco ones, with the 110 discs, its stops fine and they do work. But clearance between the disc and caliper is paper thin! It mainly due to the 110 discs being slightly thicker and larger in diameter. G
