  1. LEZ on light vans starts on 03.01.12.
  2. AIR LDV convoy/400 luton mirror arms are what you seek. scrappy may be best bet.
  3. I'd try changing the fluid and filter first. Solved a similar problem on mine and they were both filthy.
  4. Welcome to the 'imposing presence' club mine is 200TDi, Lt77, RaRo axles with discs, slightly shortened and EXCELLENT FUN Just watch out for body roll! (albeit I'm on para's) pics later as there tooo big
  5. 'DON'T BE TEMPTED TO REGISTER YOUR 12 SEATER AS A MINIBUS TO AVOID THE CONGESTION BECAUSE THIS IS WAY WORSE' Congestion charge and LEZ are separate things. PSV (minibus) is exempt from CC but hit by LEZ. Even worse example; two identical sprinter buses, same body and engine, one 16 seat, one down-rated to 8 seats: 16 seat is effectively scrap in Jan. 8 seat is fine as its treated as a car! My house is 100m inside the LEZ. Planes over it all day dumping diesel emissions from a not great height
  6. simple answer if V5 says estate yes. If V5 shows anything else... No
  7. If its chinese the wiper will work up and down instead of left to right Nice LWB btw and keep the paint as YOU want it (or what the other half will let you get away with)
  8. Hi guys, I'm now a little confused. Have you only replaced the axle side of the u j, and the shaft side is as standard?
  9. OK with ENV's i can understand you want to swop for something more available but remember ENV's are stronger than any other factory LR axle. they're closer to truck axles IIRC made by eaton you can fit RR/110/130 axles to get discs with a bit of butchery on axles and chassis and little more work to do 300 and auto box I can give you some pointers(my bates is 200/LT77/RR/RR & power steering) but why? its a good looking rosenbaum? and if the chassis is good count yourself very lucky It really would be a shame to spoil it.
  10. how close to feltham? I can check a couple of locals
  11. Pics at http://picasaweb.google.com/bedfontgn/Tango2b# it won't let me link. Just noticed my hood sticks were in there too  Underneath its ENV's, 2.6 petrol, low ratio 1 ton/FC box
  12. Just got a call that Tango and trailer has been stolen. Tango : Orange 2b forward control with custom built ali body. large one piece screen, driver sits low next to engine, original ribbed floor from drivers seat to rear doors. ali barn doors at rear. trailer: twin wheel hydraulic tipping trailer mainly blue some bits yellow. checker plate floor. hand winch on front. two tyres slashed, substantial rust. ball hitch Had been parked in front garden for last 7-8 years when tyres were slashed. I can't believe they got it out, let alone away. can't find pics on here will post some asap If you hear of the trailer, tango or any 2b bits going let me know
  13. Is that croda fluid sort of black/brown rather than clear? Smells a bit of dry cleaning fluid (apparently the tri-corethelene added as a fire retardent) and Dries sort of crinkley ? If so I have a few hundred litres that came out of a tank that needed to be moved. More than even I will need for my fleet of rustbuckets bring your own cans as the ones I've got cost more than the contents
  14. IME the cheapest is with 3 ball valves and a few moments under the bonnet if you can't route the valves within reach. I would NOT heat the filter but would put each on seperate filters. Warming the filter will allow the heavies that you want to filter out to pass through and cause problems later so SVO line would run SVO- filter - heater bal valve- t piece - lp- - ip fossil line Foss- filter-ball valve- t piece-lp-ip the t piece also has a ball valve and is where the two lines combine, as late as possible to minimise purge time. You may also consider routing your return line back in at the T piece with a air purge so you reduce the fuel needing to be filtered
