  1. Easy start is like crack for diesels, once you start them on it it's hard to get them off! Well, that's based on the trucks we ran underground
  2. I run McAfee on my Vista Gaming laptop, AVG on my Vista Media centre. Everything else runs some form of unix
  3. cheers western, so if I understand you correctly, I can use an age related plate if I use the range rover chassis/engine(or a same replacement)/axles/gearbox?
  4. cheers guys. I't wasn't so much the SVA I was too worried about, more which tax bracked I would fall under. £180 odd a year I can live with, £400 odd I can't
  5. Hi, I'm new to this forum, been floating around a different one for some time. Thought I'd introduce myself, my names Pete and I have a 1998 Disco 1 V8. I'm thinking about building some form of hybrid, not sure what yet, but I have a question regards the SVA test. If I build onto a Range Rover chassis with a Land Rover body and then go through SVA does the result mean I gain a new reg or can I keep the identity of the Range Rover? If I get a new reg does that then mean I will end up paying the higher tax bracket or does Q plate not fall under the post 2001 tax hike? Any guidance would be appreciated. Cheers Pete
  6. I replaced all the speakers with some higher end ones, Boston Acoustics in the rear pillars and some slightly cheaper Pioneer ones in the front. I also added a Pioneer 700w Mono AMP and a freeboxed sub that sits nicely behind the rear seats. I might try and fit a set of 6x9's some place, trying to find a space that doesn't look ugly and doesn't take up valuable storage isn't easy though.
