  1. There's a good supply of 2 door parts from Belgium/France/Germany where the two doors were sold up to 1994, early two door parts might be a different matter though!
  2. this might be of use... http://www.stevesprint.com/remap-14cux/
  3. You can now also re-map the 14CUX fairly easily if you so wish; http://www.stevesprint.com/remap-14cux/
  4. All of the "Twisted" and "Urban Truck" etc offerings seem to be sold with the addition of LED headlamps too, I would have thought they'd be open to litigation if they were not legal and found to be the cause of an accident?
  5. Go into add/remove programs (start > run > appwizz.cpl) Uninstall anything related to iTunes from here, you might have to google the exact program names but itunes and bonjour should certainly be removed Then try and re-install itunes As for the SMBus controller, you should find drivers for that on the Toshiba website
  6. That Monterverdi is lovely! The other classic, not so much, rear bumper looks to have been fitted wrong. Although it makes me a bit of a hypocrite to talk about fitting non-standard wheels
  7. I had the Yoko's on my D1 for a while, they were pretty good in the rough stuff and the snow. Not as much wet grip on tarmac as some of the others though.
  8. I'm running a 4.6 in a RRC on 14CUX currently, it has a re-chipped ECU and a 20AM AFM, however, if I were doing it again I would probably be tempted to go the megasquirt route and get the ignition taken care of too.
  9. The last Eurotrip I took was Romania and back, but that was 20 days rather than 9, I didn't take a great deal in the way of spares but I had just finished rebuilding the Range Rover.
  10. I've just replaced the head unit in my 93 RRC that has the high spec subwoofer and speaker amp audio setup. The normal stereo feeds a low level input to the amps, I cut the connector plug off and soldered on RCA connectors, my head unit has connectors for front/rear/sub RCA outputs so this was easiest option for me. My headunit now drives the factory sub and speaker amps, think there are some photos in my members vehicle thread.
  11. Zeus pistons and genuine seals are what I used on the CSK. They've been fine ever since I fitted them.
  12. You could also consider one of the "hi-torque" type geared starter motors, I've just fitted one to my MGB GT V8 project, mostly due to space constraints, but it seems like a nice robust bit of kit.
  13. Cost per BHP is what you need to look at, it won't be cheap to get that sort of power from a rover lump I spent a lot of money building my engine and I'm fairly sure that doesn't go near 320BHP Gearbox and axle life is directly related to how often and how hard you hit the gas
  14. What do you plan to do with the 4.6 lump to get over 300bhp?
  15. I think the difference might be that I am running the later RRC brakes with ABS, which give a massive boost to the pedal pressure. I've never had any issue stopping from high speeds over on the autobhan more than once in a row...
  16. I've got drilled/grooved discs on the CSK with standard calipers and braided brake hoses. Stops pretty well!
  17. Fit LPG or sell it and buy a diesel, either will result in roughly the same running costs. Or sell it and buy something that doesn't weigh 2 tons and have the aerodynamics of a breeze block!
  18. Is this on a two door? If so the CSK style are available in plenty from places such as France etc. Just buy a whole door and you should get central locking and electric windows :-)

    Newbury

I'm going from Derby to Northumberland on Tuesday morning if that helps, so if it can be got to Derby before then I'll take it up with me...
  20. 2 Discovery 1 seats have a tilt system. If you re-mount the seat belts like the later style 2 door shells (same as the CSK) which anchors on the rear of the sill rather than the seat base, then it opens up more options. Plenty of two door cars out there
  21. Roadkill is such an awesome show
  22. That'd be them, I actually quite like them
  23. We had a Schuler that ran on 15" wolfrace wheels that looked a bit like the wheels fitted to the General Lee. They come up on ebay sometimes but I can't see any on there at the moment.
  24. Hi Dunc, it's a KA car, not sure of reg date as I haven't got the V5 infront of me. It has the alarm sensor on the top of the screen and it also flashes the indicators when you turn the key which both suggest it has an alarm fitted, along with the CATS stickers. It also has some horrific after market immobiliser on the dash that involves slotting a fob into a reader. I also have only one set of keys I will have a proper dig about once I get a chance in daylight and I'll take some photos over the weekend and start a thread.
