Hi there, I was driving my Landrover 90 on a motorway when there was an awful noise and complete loss of power, pulled on to hard shoulder and tried to start off again in 1st gear, went into gear fine but no movement, same in all other gears and diff lock.
When in gear and clutch is released it almost feels like handbrake is on, wants to go but stuck somewhere, but it’s free wheeling which is strange, now got it in the garage and removed gearbox and clutch, diaphragm springs are bent and worn as well as release bearing, could this be the problem? Or does it sound like something more serious? I’m hoping it’s not a gearbox issue 😬🤞 thanks.
