    Welcome..

I would say the first thing is that the ACE system doesn't really look like an anti-roll bar anyway, so if it has a full length bar with return ends and drop links then it has had a D2 anti-roll or sway bar fitted. Not sure how the trans-Atlantic market was but not all Europe market disco's had the system anyway, base models, 5 seater's and commercial versions were often specified without. If the truck is otherwise in good shape I wouldn't say its a deal breaker just a negotiation lever. I never had it and never missed it on mine, but I know people who do road miles really appreciate an ACE system in good order.

Search on here for the common ailments and fixes, make sure you get any displaced parts for future tinkering and go for it .... at the right price.

Thank you! I just posted a couple photos of the under carriage. I could be wrong but it looks like the anti-roll kit is installed. Either way, your input has given me the confidence to move forward with the purchase.

  2. I'm looking at purchasing an 01 Discovery II, which would be my first Land Rover, but noticed the ACE pump and double reservoir are absent and of course the accompanying error light is lit on the dash. Is there an easy way to confirm if a proper anti-roll bar kit was installed? I'm thinking the owner just pulled the system when he rebuilt the engine and didn't bother replacing the ACE system, but I can't be sure. The current owner purchased the vehicle used with a blown engine with the intention to rebuild and sell. He is not a Land Rover guy.  Other than this concern, the truck is in impeccable shape and runs very well. I appreciate any input/advice. Thanks!
