I don't know if this helps. I had the "oil pump" problem. Anyway, after a rebuild of both heads etc. I got the car back and that evening it cut out whilst I was accelerating. It did it a couple more times. With the coronavirus lockdown, I didn't drive much but recently I have and it has been cutting out regularly. Transmission Fault, HDC unavailable etc. One thing I noticed throughout was a hot burning smell. Anyway. I was trying to work out when it was doing it and had already ruled out the brake light switch etc. I was mainly during harder acceleration but not exclusively; it also happened under gentle gas and I worked it out that it was at gear change (mine is an auto). It appears when they rebuilt my engine and replaced the radiator, they hadn't topped up the transmission fluid, it got hot, buggered and threw an error. I've had a transmission change and filter/sump and it seems to have cured the problem BUT....it's a disco so something else is sure to be the issue
