Forgive me - so if I remove the 5 or 6 little nuts and whack the casting it should fall out, leaving the disc removal bolts visible?

I'm stuck replacing the rear discs on my 2011 puma Defender with ABS. I've got the hub off and on the bench and am looking at the ABS ring which is stopping me get the old disc off. What do I do next please to get that ring off - I've loosened off the 10mm nuts on the back but nothing helps there.
