  1. I dont see that it makes any difference if its checked on delivery or not

If not checked on delivery then thats their opt out!  ( Sorry there is nothing we can do ! )

You are charged for insurance that is non existant.   Simple as that !

If you did check it on delivery and found out it was broken then you would think that you would be covered by the insurance that you paid for, but since there is no such thing as insuring glass you aren't covered as they aren't insured..

How do you package the glass to avoid breakage during transit?
All glass is wrapped prior to despatch. It is then foamed in its box to avoid damage, but dont worry our shipping is insured.

  2. My point being was : one was charged for insurance but Glass is on the exclusion list for couriers so there is no insurance.

Basically you are paying for nothing. ( Is that clear enough.)

  3. My Partner bought 2 screens for his land rover, he didnt fit them for probably a week after receiving the box and then when opening the box which did have a small hole in one side we found that one was cracked
    Motorsport website says
"What happens if my glass gets broken during transit?
This does not happen very often but if it does please contact us within 24 hours of delivery for a replacement and also make sure you take some photos as we will need these."
OK On making the call there was nothing that could be done and they said that it has never happened before and basically that there is a lot can happen to glass between taking it out of the packaging and taking it to the vehicle to fit it.
Basically they didnt believe that it could have been damaged. Also we didnt notify them within the 24 hours of receiving the package.
So much for ""All glass is wrapped prior to despatch. It is then foamed in its box to avoid damage, but dont worry our shipping is insured.""
SO BEWARE  OPEN THE BOX AS SOON AS YOU RECEIVE IT OR IT SEEMS YOU ARE NOT ENTITLED TO A REPLACEMENT..AND THERY AREN'T EVEN INTERESTED IN LOOKING AT ANY PHOTOS.
( have to give one star as wont post with none)

We conceed that we didnt make the call within the 24 hours as we were busy with other things. So in that respect hands up!
But we didnt expect to basically be told that we were telling lies!
    Very Disappointed with the attitude.
Had to purchase another item at £136 included in that price was the £44 for packing and insurance which seems to be non existant.
Ever tried to insure glass or crockery with a courier firm?
They are both on the list of EXCLUDED ITEMS so you can't insure GLASS
So when you pay for the insurance all you are doing is paying for the packaging not the insurance as there is none.
Thats a good CON isn't it.
Anyway  not much more to say except  Buyer Beware!
