  1. There is no chance to attached no 9 bolts to the timing case as engine is 12L and bracket is probably from original engine 11L, maybe I'll be able to do some support bracket to reinforce it.
  2. I removed alternator and PAS/alternator bracket. It was more screws missing, luckily I've ordered 2 of each just in case It seems like main bracket is attached only by 2 bolts (red circles) to the engine block and alternator support bracket/tensioner, is it enough? maybe the only reason of snapped bolts was poor maintenance and not properly tightened or missing bolts?
  3. It does make perfect sense, thank you. I've ordered new bolts and washers, it should be with me in a couple of days.
  4. Mine is more like ralphs one with slightly different belts arrangement. I need new bolts in order to apply tension on the alternator and PAS pump. I'm not sure if I would be able to get them in my local car parts shop.. I'll have to remove PAS bracket to snapped bolt and do the same on the engine block. It looks like alternator hinges bolt is missing too, it should be on the hinges and support bracket is for tension adjustment right ? That's from under the vehicle, almost the same.. I'm pretty sure that I can unscrew top one from behind
  5. New bolts and belts for sure. Hobby it is, just trying to get it going, thanks 😀 If you're talking about the PAS plate, it is there. It seem like something is not right with the alternator bracket. It looks to me as it's sitting only on the support bracket. I've tried to remove the alternator but it started to rain so maybe later on or tomorrow.
  6. I think it may be just that everything is so loose as the PAS bolts snapped, is it normal btw ? What's the possible cause other than well worn bolts? I'll have to double check this Will do, thanks I think I'll just remove manifolds, alternator and then see whats going on and what I need to replace/adjust rather than just snapped bolts Many thanks
  7. I think mine is totally butchered then, PAS bracket bolts snapped so almost no power steering, heating and battery charging. I found that this post is the most accurate for my current situation, don't really know where to start? I recently become owner of Defender 110 93 L plate with 12L engine which is Disco engine if I'm not wrong, alternator and PAS brackets arrangements just don't look right to me?? Should I look for second hand bracket ? or it wont help at all as turbo is high and manifolds may be on the way with original brackets? Please advise. I have 2 grooves on crank pulley and only one on PAS, picture for reference
