It didn't entertain me as I was busy doing other things and had forgotten it was on. I will watch the repeat in expectation of not learning much about today's motoring scene but having a laugh at three blokes p*ss*ing about instead.
A friend of mind e-mailed me some photos of a 1/5th scale Mk.1 Supermarine Spitfire. According to the text it took the Cambridge man 11 years to build and uses an estimated 19,000 rivets.
No Land Rover content but I reckon it's certainly something worth looking at:
I'm after some steel or brass 1/4 in NPT threaded pushfit connectors for 1/4 in O/D poly pipe - does anyone know any small order friendly UK sources (specific sources rather than have you tried so and so sources )
Thanks.
I don't think David has been singled out, the conversation has naturally broadened. As far as my views go David is a much valued member here but we still need to be mindful of the principles and ethos behind this place. Still, I'm rather pleased that we can have discussions like this and not feel the heat from the breath of this or that sponsor or magazine backer.
My Missus is thinking of chopping her '04 Freebie in for an X-Trail. They're a tad bigger than the Freebie and the interior does seem a bit plasticky.
..she is even thinking about the Qashqai
...she even got me test driving one this morning, may the Good Lord forgive me
A piece in the 18th Jan. edition of Shooting Times & Country Magazine mentions the latest results from the National Deer Collision Project *which state than more than 30,000 collisions have been reported since the project began in 2003. I know there are plenty around here and often see carcasses at the side of the road. I gave up the shooting rights on a piece of Thetford Forest a couple of years ago due to deer / tick / control issues.
*My screen often freezes when I click on the results .pdf page via the DCP link above - you have been warned!
But the breathers & tubes are clear?
Be interesting to see how the compressions compare. Was this engine run in at all? I have the words glazed bores floating around at the back of my mind.
