  1. Don't forget that stainless and aluminium make poor bedfellows...
  2. Ooh, discounts to all LR4X4 members here we come then
  3. As well as the rubber I'd apply sealant to the holes before you tighten the bolts up too.
  4. There seemed to be more folks around on the Sunday and the jumble was perhaps a bit bigger than when LRO was still running it. Didn't see much of what was going on in the arena although I did stop to watch the guy with the owl & hawks as they're one of my 'things' .....I suppose stunt mountain bikes are jut as much other peoples thing too. There are just so many Land Rover shows these days, not at all like what it was like back in the dim distant past when I bought my first one and it's become very hard for organisers to come up with something fresh each time - especially for old farts like me PS: David, I stopped to say hello but as you were busy chatting and my belly needed filling I didn't hang around
  5. Sorry I've only just read this as I've ben away this weekend. Get well soon Paul.
  6. Where are the photos of the work in progress?
  7. White Spirit or Turps will often shift goo too.
  8. After seeing this bloke and his over the top antics once or twice I never bothered watching him again. I like wildlife presentations but prefer the wildlife itself to be the centre of attention not some overbearing bloke with a permanently overwound mainspring. I don't watch Big Brother either
  9. Well done & good pics Chris.
  10. Shame for his family but if you spend your time doing often provocative and generally irritating things to dangerous animals’ one day you are going to come a cropper. I just found him loud and overbearing.
  11. That thing would be impossible to use for any length of time, tis more of a show saw.
  12. If the above doesn't work try pulling the wiper spindles in and out, anything other than a little play here will result in a clunk. If there is play it's possible to reduce it by bending the tab that pushes on the spindle on the back of each gearbox but you will need to take the dash toprail out to gain access. Bending the tab is easier of you remove the back of the gearboxes but this also allows you to get some fresh grease in there as well.
  13. Well spotted that man! I've just sent a pm and e-mail to Yostumpy.
  14. You won't be able to say the same with the TD5 Tony
  15. If it has only started since you fitted a new damper then that should be the first thing I'd look at, did you replace / disturb anything else at the same time? Could you have lost a wheel balance weight? How quick are the vibes, in time with wheel, prop revolutions?
  16. You will find that it will cure quicker with the White Spirit. Strangely enough I actually enjoy applying Waxoyl but I have some tablets that help keep the feelings in check
  17. I thinl you will find that it will settle down a bit as it dries out. Make sure you get the stuff into the box sections and seams as well AND don't forget the previous advice about thinning it with white spirit!
  18. September 18th is fast approaching so for those in the UK with ankle biters it's probably worth taking a look at the new regulations which come into force then. .pdf document here
