  1. Hi - needs some help with a problem I just can’t seem to get to the bottom of and hoping someone out there will have a solution (other than a gallon, sorry 4.5L of petrol and a box of matches) I have a 1994 300tdi soft dash auto that has developed a major electric issue I’ll start at the beginning and hope you don’t fall asleep before I finish First problem I noticed was that my heater blower was running if left in any of the 4 on positions without the keys even in the ignition. Car still started and drove without issue so I just made sure the blower was off when parked up. Next issue and the more major one is that it stopped starting, if you turned the key ignition lights would come on but when you went to turn the starter motor over nothing, you could hear the starter load relay clicking, one strange thing the oil temp warning light on the dash would come on but only for as long as the key was held in the start position Now I have lost power to the electric windows and I’ve noticed the heater blower doesn’t work any more The central locking has never worked since I got this car - just adding as much information as I can I’ve checked all the fuses and as many relays as I can. All the earths I can see are fine as well I’m not saying all these faults are connected but strange that they should all occur since the initial blower fault was noticed Has anyone ever had the auto box inhibitor switch fail? I know the starters ok as I can start it directly from the battery without issue I hope someone can help as this really beginning to annoy me thanks to everyone who takes time to read this whether or not you can offer any advice take care and stay safe
