  2. hello, thank you for you answer. The engine doest match the matriculation document (not a V5 though as it is a continental car). The car is a 94 RR LSE 4.2 V8 with correct VIN SALLHBM34MA....and both engine (the one mentioned on the documents and the one tol by the british car museum) have numbers that could be correct : 40D105.. and 40D118
  3. Hello all, I m about to make a big step and buy my first LR, nevertheless I have doubts. The car is splendid en the seller looks fine but when I asked British auto museum they gave me all the correct info about the Vin (color, option etc.. ) but the engine number is different that the one on the car. The seller is 2d owner he knew the previous one and tells me the engine is the same from the first day ...my question is can the archive be wrong? Regards and tx for you help
