  1. I have had nothing but a nightmare when it comes to brake mastercylinders. I build a large defender tipper , so I thought I put better servo on it a servo from a abs defender , one of the double ones. Anyway it came with one could not get as brake pedal at all so the seller sent another it was no better, so then bought a cheap one from ebay wrong type it was the non abs type I need the abs type, sent it back. Anyway bite the bullet bought a new in the bag trw one on ebay. You guessed it , it's shooting a fountain of brake fluid in the reservoir when the pedals pressed. The brakes somewhat work but , it's not right. Contacted seller silence/no responce , I know ebay will refund but my question is will the seals from a non abs rebuild kit fit a abs master cylinder. They look the same only the ports seem to be on different sides and the angle of the master is different and m12 rather than m10 but the cylinders look the same diameter , anyone know or is there something I don't know about those master cylinders. Thanks
  2. Will 110 rear calipers fit on a d1 rear axel? I was going to upgrade them but unsure and don't want to buy then to have to send them back if they don't. Anyone know?
  3. Thanks lads but I found the problem I think. I started looking at the servo and just assumed it was working because the pedal went down when I started the engine, but on further examination there was no vacume in the servo but the pump was working fine. So I got the smoke machine out and found the leak it's between the master cylinder and the servo. Now I just bought this servo as folk were saying double servo a lot better brakes ect so added it to the build, so I ain't never seen it fitted and working. I don't know if there a seal between the servo and the master , there must be. What's missing .
  4. I got a defender tipper , but the brakes are getting me mystified. The pedel good firm servo works but no matter how much pressure I put on the brake pedal I can't get them to lock. I have fitted a double servo while the brakes don't go soft or anything I mean really standing on them won't lock, so before I got taking them to bits anyone any idea? thinking servo push rod. Thanks
  5. I just fitted a tdci brake servo to my defender. The servo just blowing air out of the servo hole . I pretty sure it broken .I have never seen a servo do that . Any advice the seller tried to tell me it came from a working car. Pump the pedal just getting a whoosh of air from the vaccume pipe hole 20220311_143301_1.mp4

  12. I not got agreed value , sorry no pics either I did not see any reason to take pictures I wasn't going to sell it. I am just asking what's a reasonable price to accept. I see some at 24k but are they getting that. That seems like pie in the sky prices but then again are these ones at 8k just a chassis swap with a ramp and all on old bushes ect. That why I asked. I told the insurance when I insured it this year 10k. Should I try and hold them to that or more. Not really got a clue ,got another car anyway but would like to get it over and done with/, without holding out with the insurance ect found a pic

  16. I think it's meant to be like the locking tab on the hubs going opposite directions to lock the nut.
  17. There's really just crush tubes where the steering box goes and little bits of 2mm steel pressed into little speed bumps here and there, I don't think they are crush tubes at the transfer box mounts, if memory serves
