  4. Hi every one more or less finished my work on my 90 I've been doing Defender 90 but the fusing of the new rear heated window has a problem somewhere the first time i tried it the fuse blew but that was my fault i had put wrong size amp fuse in it was only 10amps but then put in a 15amp in as i was lead to beleave that the amps for a heated rear window was 12.5 amps but it blew after about 5 minutes any got any ideas why. Thanking you all in advance
  5. It seems that it may be named a dashboard shelf and not a parcel shelf.
  6. Hi Anderzander The rear of the two switches stick out by around 40mm and all the wires that will sit under the panel just all seem to get in the way now so it don't sit well how need it go before i removed that top shelf ??.
  7. Hi i took out me parcel shelf which sits behind the center switch panel it had the cigarette lighter in it i put a switch for the rear wash wipe in and now can't seem to get it back in past the cables as they get in the way what have i done wrong do i cut out a hole to let them though the shelf and then cover with the half dome that fits straight behind.
  8. Thanks a lot Simonb it confirms what i was thinking it just leaves me to fine the right size cable from my batteryto my new extra 4 way fuse board i was thinking maybe 27 amp or do i go up to 70 amp for future use as the fuse holder can take 100 amp max
  9. Hi Troll Hunter The set up i have is simple i put a second pump motor into the front washer tank to feed the rear window that goes though to wash/wipe switch also new in dash and that works the wiper as well when turned right and the heated rear window has its own original switch. so i just need to know fuse size for the two.
  10. Good Morning everyone just finished my wiring to the rear washer and wipe all new setup but confusion reigns over fuse size because all blogs refer that a wiper is 15 amp a washer is 5-7.5 amp so as the wash/wipe works of one switch what size fuse do i put in the holder as this makes up to 20 plus amps intotal.

Fridgefreezer i do know of Keith Gott and yes there rates are high but its par for coarse and Miketomcat i tried a local club but they where only into heavy off roading and thats not my scene, get a lot of wiring diagrams and info on the heated rear window and wiper done all my research but got nowhere, just to old for it to sink in.
