  1. I've got an amber ACE light on the dash. Checked it with Nanocom ( wonderful bit of kit! ) and it gave me two faults, first on was "the main relay was failing the test" - put a new on in & that's gone away but the second one is causing me a headache. The fault is "electrical circuit fault in the direction of control valve 2" I've checked and cleaned the contacts on the control valve itself, no change. I've checked the operation of the valave and can hear the Nanocom cycling it but I still have the amber lamp. Before I start to pull my motor apart, does anyone have any knowledge of further connections between the ECU and the valve or any further potential points to check - it's got me baffled as the valve works when the ECU and Nanocom asks it to.... . Cheers Andy
  2. Thanks for that Martin - just what I was after. Andy
  3. Hi folks. I've had a search but can't find an answer to my question so here goes. Vehicle is a Discovery 2 TD5 GS I am the proud owner of a constant amber ACE warning lamp on the dashboard - thankfully its a loner - not the dreaded three amigos. Any ideas anyone before I have to go and pay to get it read at the dealers? Cheers.
  4. Thanks for that... to be honest I'm looking for reliability more than anything, I'm happy with it's current performance as it is. I'd assumed that the pump would need to be set up for the i/c but if it will run ok without adjustment then I'll stick with its current settings and just cool it down a bit.... Cheers Andy
  5. I'm in the process of adding an intercooler / radiator assembly ( from a 300TDi ) to my 90TD. I'm fine with the installation itself, but does anyone have any info relating to adjusting the fuel pump to work more effectively once the intercooler is in place? I've seen posts relating to the TDi but nothing for the TD. Will the TDi mods work for the TD??? Any info would be useful. Cheers Andy
