  1. W Okay that's one in. The offset bolts clip the rail at full forward. Position wise I'm happy and it's a great seat. Might tidy it all up later. Maybe make it again out of something a touch thicker. That’s the easy one done. Onto the heavy awkward drivers one. 🙂
  2. Just sheared one of my bolts off and cross threaded the captive nut so I guess now is a good time to talk bolt strength and spreader plates. Ideally I want something captive to bolt into but can’t seem to find anything that has the nut already attached that isn’t massive. Should I have high strength bolts ?
  3. I think the thing to remember is most people are fine. It’s just the odd few that you need to cover yourself for.
  4. If they have a dash can you are going end up filmed anyway. I’d be suspicious of a towee filming but would understand a tower wanting to.
  5. It’s more for you to video them saying yes I accept liability before you do the tow. 🙂 maybe a once round the car for existing damage.
  6. I keep forgetting about videoing things. Videoing is a very good idea in many cases.
  7. I thought the rail track was supposed to be the same between rx8 and defender seats but I’m showing 0.7 cm difference in hole centres distance at the front which is why it’s bending in at the back. I’m going to slot the front holes a bit.
  8. This is the bit I mean I could come out from the bottom of the mud dash and pretty much stay that high until the shifter mount that is just out of shot to the right which is about to the top of the diff lock lever.
  9. There you go some blurry badly measured poorly lit photos. Let me know if that's enough or I need to do it properly 😃
  10. Hmm I'm mounted on the seat bolts at the front but the rear rail mount points are coming in slightly like the fronts are too wide. Ivan mount them there but that seems a bit odd.
  11. Mine doesn’t have such fancy things on it I can measure 🙂
  12. It’s the standard position. It’s just the gear lever section that is filled in if that helps.
  13. Well seeing as we are back on this thread as mine is an auto I have a lot of spare real estate in that area and I have relays and car computers looking for a home. What are the options for having hi low and diff lock sit up higher so I could run a center console that was higher up ? Could I move it up with a longer stick or mount it higher with a longer linkage?
  14. Ashcroft sorted me out with mine as well. Might be worth a call.
  15. For the air bags my mate took them apart and removed the bang part. There is a bolt I think just be careful.
  16. The slide on the seat gives me about all I'm going to get and I think thats enough. Rear bolts to go.
  17. So my current problem is my in car computer box stops me being able to move the seat back enough to put the front bolts in (the joys of a truck cab). I’ll look at moving that and see if it helps. I could weld some extending tabs on but I’ll try to avoid that if I can.
  18. By two lots of rails I mean I could add the existing seat rails to the ones already on the seat. Some sort of telescoping section would be okay.
  19. I couldn’t get that one to latch when it was off the car pushing it in by hand into the door. The x eng one is fine to do that with so I am going to go with my mangled catch is a problem. It is mangled on both sides. I think had alignment and seal issues as well. Pretty much all the problems 🙂
  20. Right chuck on rails in. This is what in thinking if the rails could super extend. I could mount two lots of rails but I don't like that
  21. Okay X trousers fitted. Messed with hinges. Pulled and refitted seals and it was good for a bit. Redo and super tighten hinges and it's good. I think seal was catching somewhere but door closes okay at the moment so hooray 🤠
  22. Okay, quick trial latching with just the x catch in my hand and pushing into the door latch and it will latch nicely on the drivers side so maybe my other latch got a bit mangled with the alignment being out but the loose hinges letting it slam / bounce into place.
