    Big day

A big day and a milestone for 3A i my ownership; testdrive with temporary registration. Not so good start, a lot of noise from the left front wheel. Lesson learned ---> Tighten the wheel nuts lad!!! Drove about 40 miles and the car was delightful. After washing the car I discovered that the fuel tank is made from 4-5mm thick aluminium : I think the car is ready for MOT, I have to book a time at a garage and cross my fingers Some pictures :
  3. Thanks alot, do you think he speak english?
  4. I sendt a mail at 1355, and 1413 Paul sendt his reply : "Dear Bjørn-Are, Thank you for your e-mail. Yes, this could be a kit I assembled and sold. The brake pads are also used on the new Santana PS10 and the old Peugeot J5 / Citroen C25 / Fiat Ducato van of a particular year. You can also upgrade to the ventilated disc system by changing the discs and calipers. If you have any questions please contact me. Regards, Paul Heystee" This relieves my worries regarding the brakes, now I just have to find a local dealer of the mentioned carbrands. Thanks alot for all suggestions and thoughts!
  5. I can`t find any inscriptions on the caliper, havent gotten around to measure it yet Does this help? I`m very happy about the discs, only problem I can see is identifying the kit. Steel braid brakelines : The car is ex military, but different from the "standard" military Norwegian cars. The car is supposed to be a standart 109" diesel stw. A picture of the obviously replaced brake reservoir : More pictures at http://www.lrforum.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=33780
  6. I bought my 1976 109" stw 2,25 diesel a month ago : By now I have changed the unoriginal japanese front seats of unknowned origin with deluxe highback seats and chased away som electical goblins from under the dash This afternoon I set off to change the wheelbearings on the front right hand side. When I removed the wheel I was amazed to see this : I was not aware of that there was disc brakes on the car and I dont think that the previous owner knew either. Can anyone help me identify these brakes? I guess that I eventually have to replace discs and pads, and it would be very nice to know where to get these items
