  1. When I get the funds together I'll be going for one of these: http://www.tp4x4.com/landrover_discovery_2.htm I visited when I was near them on holiday. Very helpful folk.
  2. Torque Performance http://www.tp4x4.co.uk/ have one in development for the Discovery 2. They might be willing/able to do you one for the Discovery1. Their front ones are very nice. They're very helpful, give them a call.
  3. I've heard 6 degrees mentioned.
  4. I'd be interested to hear if it does help because I have the same symptoms. Thanks Gary
  5. Hi Dave I have Insa Saharas 235/70R16 on my TD5 Discovery2. When I run them on the road I have them at 30 front and 38 rear. I experimented a wee bit starting at the recommended 28F/38R. I would put the rear up to 40psi if I felt comfortable going that much above the max on the sidewall. Off road I lower them as far as 20psi. They work very well when this low. Hope this helps. Gary
  6. Both phenomena are in the "they all do that sir" category. Mine certainly does both and has since I've owned it. The noise on startup is the ABS testing itself. There's lots of chat on the Discovery Owners' Club Forum (and others - probably on here, in fact) about it. There's less chat about the "firmer pedal on second press" but I've seen enough on the Discoweb forum (http://www.discoweb.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=4) to reassure me that it is common and not worth worrying about. I believe LandRover sorted it at some point, maybe when the Discovery2 was facelifted?
  7. Discoparts stopped trading towards the end of last year. There are kits available. I did a very quick Google search but didn't find any from the UK. There's plenty from the States. Old Man Emu seem to do one, so an OME dealer like Devon 4x4 may be able to get them. Are you a member of the Discovery Owners Club? There's a few regular posters on their forum who have lifted their air-sprung Discoveries. Cheers Gary
  8. They won't fit. Different BCD I believe. But the Genuine Discovery2 steel wheels look very similar (on US forums they call them "NATO wheels".)
