Have you disconnected the battery at any time? if so, you need to recalibrate the rear window.
-
Sorry people, but you're going to have to take me (No7) off the list!!
Freelander number 2 was part exchanged last week for a Skoda Yeti SE 4x4. I would have liked a FL2 but just couldn't justify a bill of nearly £26k.
-
Probably just a noisy relay
-
Start with the simple things.......check that the switch on the back of the ignition barrel is working correctly.
-
LR updated their info to 30psi at all times, all tyres.
-
Now that is really easy..........go to your LR dealer and ask for a Freelander towing relay. I found they were cheaper than a local towing centre!!
Remove old one.
Plug in new one.
Little trailer lights up on dash. Once only when no trailer connected, all the time if trailer working properly.

Not available to the Public in the UK, plus have you worked out how you would get a very thick "liquid" out.
There are a couple of places now doing re-cons. Google Bell Engineering in Halesowen.
-
Good to see such a positive situation.
I noticed coming to work this evening that a load of furniture has been dumped at the railway end of the Byway off the backlane between Onibury and Ludlow Racecourse. I can't find anyone to report this to. Any idea?

LR only fitted one 1.8 petrol engine into the Freelander, and yes it is based on the Rover engine, but there are some differences to the car engine.
Are you sure that the factor has given you the right clutch?
-
They were the pretty colours on mine!, but I still checked with a test light.
-
The diff is the "bit" in the middle of the rear axle, and converts the drive from the prop shaft through 90*, to go to the wheels.
If the noise is from the front, when does it occur? Smooth or rough roads?
-
Think you've answered your own question, if no fuel came out.
-
Where from?
If it is from the back, check the condituon of the mounting for the front of the rear diff.
-
Come up to Llanidloes and stay at Dol-Llys Farm. Riverside site within walking distance of town.
Link through www.llanidloes.com, and go to "where to stay".

Seems to vary, depending on how the suspension has settled. Only thing to do is try and see where they rub.

Hi, just got a couple of questions regarding issues which could arise while out and about the North Devon area, but could also be helpful for other newbies like me in other areas.
1- Who is actually resposible for the up-keep of the lanes as the other day I was going to travel a 'BOAT' only to discover that 100 yrds in the hedges were that overgrown that there were branches from floor height to well over the roof, at least 3-4 inches thick covering over half the track. definate body and window damage if I continued. I went to the opposite end and in my opinion the whole lane is impassable. Also, at the start a landowner owner has extended and repaired the entrance to a field, but encrouched onto the lane. This makes entering and exiting the lane rather dangerous as it is off an 'A' road and visability is not great.
The County Council are legally liable to maintain all RoW's but since most of them are too cash strapped even to do the tarmac...............Some clearance work does seem to occur by the voluntary groups, with CC permission, plus the landowner may do it, if they use the RoW for access.
If the landowner has encroached onto the lane, then photograph it and report it to the RoW Dept, as a complaint.
2- A lot of the lanes have had their signage removed/painted over. Would this have been done by the local council or a third party? as it seems that only footpath/bridleway signs exist intact. They have not been unscrewed but broken off and the ones that are painted have been done with aerosol cans not quite the same shade.Unlikely, since they have to pay for them. Most often done by the "anti's", again photograph and report to the RoW office.
Hope you helpful guys and gals can advise so I know who to contact regarding these issues.Bri

Change the switch unit on the back of the ignition switch. Quite cheap and the LR parts man will know exactly what you want.

The Gap is now closed to all motorised traffic
Top of Sarn Helen, by the Mountain Centre, and the centre with the CRAG bridge is closed, bottom end has a Seasonal TRO, but I don't know the dates.

Colin,
would love to but work gets in the way!!
Thanks for the offer.
-
So don't go to a main stealer, find a local garage with a good reputation and get them to do it.
-
can anyone please tell me what trim my freelander has the door pillar says Q thanks
Year and model, might help, plus even a photo.

Eggy smell is more likely to be the air con needing cleaning, especially as what we call a "cat" on the diesel is actually a particulate filter. They just smell smokey when they do a burnclean.

It's a breather pipe for the IRD, so don't worry about it.
