Jason, they just have to be at 90 degrees to the shaft.

Check the security of all the turbo hoses.
-
Nick, I'm sure you have had a full explanation about this on another Forum, haven't you?
-
Im on my second.
First was an L series diesel that I part-ex'd for a Td4. In total I've probably done over 100k miles in them both, and am now considering buying an FL2.
For the mileages you are doing buy a diesel. One of the things that "kills" the 1.8 is short journeys.
The Freelander is really no worse than any other second hand car; yes some will have problems, but then you could be buying a Toyota!! No car is ever perfect, so do what you want to do, buy a Freelander and have FUN!!

All the bolt holes are ready for the tow bar, and the electric plug is behind the boot liner on the drivers side, by the rear wheel arch.
-
Rear diff remained constant throughout Freelander 1 builds, and the 1.8 and diesel are the same. Not sure about the V6.

Winter tyres....yes
Chains .....unlikely
HDC..... YES YES YES. It works in 1st and reverse, so would have slowed you down considerably.

Land Rover parts department?

Cheers Paul all I can find says it is open but just thought I would ask the question as it is a fair drive to do it
Check the depths of the river carefully, as there is still a lot of melt water around.

Yes they do.
-
The norm is about 90% to the front, until slippage is detected.
-
Replace the brake light switch over the pedal.
-
Check the actual brake light switch at the pedal.
-
If you buy the LR ones they come with all the instructions and a template.
-
Have you checked whether you've got "sparks" at the horn end of the wiring?
-
It doesn't have a plug, you have to release the cover slightly.
-
I presume you have informed your insurance company of the radical modification?
-
Yes the roof bars are the same and the mountings are totally external.
-
If you've taken the prop off then you have disabled the rear diff; it isn't being driven.
-
Lots of people in the Freelander Club have given very good reports on the Grabbers.
-
Buy the LR towing relay. It isn't too expensive and then you will get the relevant light on the dash to work.

Gap Rd > seasonal TRO
Southern Sarn Helen > seasonal TRO
Northern Sarn Helen > now RB

There was a mod to the L series heater system which involved rerouting the pipes and connections. Think it might be on the computer at home. PM me an email address and I will have a look later tomorrow.

Funny, but they list them on the web site.
I run Kumho KL78's and are very happy with them.

Check on whether The Wayfarer has still got it's TRO on before you try it.
