  1. Is a 300 TDI. The AC switch is fitted beside the thermostat housing.
  2. My AC switch is not working (apparently) and can't find the same part. Can I use PRC3505 instead?
  3. Is it normal to have some noise (apparently from transfer) when I reach 40-50mph? I am using 80-90 lubricant. Any recommendations?
  4. Clutch runs out of fluid eventually. I have changed my clutch master and slave twice in only 18 months and it still doesn't work at all times. I feel a drop in the pedal when raining, a day after wading (not deep) or when wheater changes. I know it doesn't sound logical but it remains ok on dry hot weather. Any advice?
  5. I am installing new OME shocks to my 90. I am thinking on installing twin shocks, at least on front. I don't travel with lots of weight on rear, plan to keep all original springs (80,000 miles), it's a 300TDI, sometimes I catch a bump travelling at fast speeds. Actual shocks are original ones, don't know how much they will last so I prefer to change them now, also I expecto to get less bouncing. What are your recommendations? Are there any disadvantages? Thanks in advance for all your advice! -Sebastian
  6. Does any one has recommended dimensions for a Bull Bar? Vector Works / Autocad file willing to share ? Thanks in advance, -Sebastian
  7. [offtopic] Thanks for all the answers before on rear recovery points.. [/offtopic] Do you have any recommendations on where to attach rock sliders /sill protectors? Any recommendations on how to make them strong enough to use the hi-lift?
  8. Where do you recommend to weld recovery points at rear? any experiences? pictures will be really appreciated.. -Sebastian
  9. Nige, thanks for the reply, I decided to go with your tube spec. I have some pictures to show how cage is going. Also one more question. What is the best way to attach main hoop to chassis? I have attached a picture from below and from inside. Main Hoop How to attach it to the chassis? Thanks all for your help. -Sebastian
  10. Yes, he's using an old fashioned tube bender. He claims that if we use 1.5" tube it won't bend. Should I prefer 2" diameter, 1/8" thickness tube with some flattening or change to 1.5"?
  11. I am constructing my roll cage since there are no options to buy one in my country. The guy that is building it has done several roll cages for rally cars. First progress was main hoop, when I saw it today the tube has a little bit flattened on interior side of bendings. Is it serious? Tube is 2" x 1/8".
  12. Koni shocks have two different part numbers for D90s, basically one for 84-99 models and one for 99-08 models. My D90 is 2001, but made in Brazil and may be some difference. Any experiences with Koni shocks? Can I fit the 99 model in mine? Any way to tell before buying?
  13. Great thanks! I couldn't find the wastegate actuator, but since I am measuring 16 psi max, that should be ok. Also, I was wondering if it is ok for the turbo to start early giving 5-6 psi as soon as I hit the road.
  14. I am measuring the pressure of my 300TDi at turbo output, before intercooler. What should be the difference of pressure if I measure it at the inlet manifold?
  15. Are they needed for deep wading? I've seen vehicles with hoses that raise the ventilation pipes of differentials. Do we need that on Defenders?
