  2. hi guys. i have a defender td5 with the discovery td5 auto box and a range rover classic borg warner box on. does anyone know if the standard prop shafts will fit as normal or are they different? if so does anybody know which i should be using? many thanks for your help as always .
  3. Its a 120amp on a defender td5 Chances are as it has no roof the heated seats will always be on that been the main thing. An the alpine sound system.
  4. i get what your saying. admittedly im only learning the electronics side of things. but im one of those boys that tries to get the best out of what i do . so ideally im looking for my best options. an as youll see i dont go for the easy stuff haha but i do like the idea of what your saying, and i also like the bridging idea from landy andy.
  5. well the fuse box im fitting will take 100amp per side and theres 2 sides. ill be running 4 heated seats 4 spot lights 2 fog lamps 3 work lights cb radio , handsfree kit, airlocker kit etc. theres quite a lot going on it.
  6. hope this helps. obviously if anyone has any better ideas they'd be much appreciated. im wiring it so it will come on with the ignition hence the relay. my only problem is whether the cable can be split off to the 2 positive clamps on the aux fuse box.
  7. high guys im hoping to wire in my aux fusebox onto my defender this weekend. i have a fuse box which is capable of 100amp per bank. there are 2 banks. my question is if i was to run a 170amp cable from my battery to my relay then to the 170amp mega fuse then from there carry the cable on . then join 2 100amp cables to the 170amp cable (so spliting the 170amp cable off into 2) then joining the lower amp cables to the 2 clamps on the fuse box. would this work ok? im trying to save having to buy 2 relays and extra fuses and have them run through 1 . also saving space. many thanks for your time guys

  10. hi all maybe a silly question but just want to check. will defender 300tdi front vented calipers fit my 200tdi defender? i only ask as i want vented front brakes and cant seem to find any for a 200 tdi so im assuming they didnt have them . cheers all

  12. the idea was to put on a vgt turbo , iv never tried one on a 200tdi but i got speaking to a guy at a turbo factory an he mentioned trying one of these on it . has anyone every tried it?
  13. hey all. iv just rebuilt my 200tdi engine, the engine has done around 170000miles. now iv been wondering if i upgraded the turbo would i be running into problems knowing how much the engines done? has anyone tried upgrading the turbo etc and how did you find it ? many thanks

  21. hi all, iv fit all the bulkhead wiring to my td5 defender im building, everything is fit correctly to my knowledge. but when it comes to turning the key on the ignition all i get is a battery light on the dash and nothing else doesnt even try cranking. . iv tried changing relays etc and no change any ideas what could be going ? im at my witts end and loosing sleep over this so any helps much apprieciated. thanks
  22. hi all does anyone know which wire goes where in the back of a td5 ignition? I have 4 of them an no idea which goes where?
