  1. Cheers guys, hadn't actually bought the winch when I posted, picked it up yesterday just hope it's worth the £180 I paid for it. The winch does seem a bit more compact than the h14w not to bothered as it's only going on a work vehicle anyway cheers guys
  2. Be interested if you came to sell them, I've got the same size think they look decent but very limited treads and almost non existent to find any second hand
  3. Cheers fridge thought it was the 525 but couldn't find anything about it. Hi mike how do you find it? Obviously yours has the pto driven side of things but the winch unit itself how is it? Also how do you how it compares with a h14 as I had one of them for a short while and it affected the approach something chronic, does this suffer the same?
  4. Hi guys not been here for a while, anyway any advice on this winch? Is it a 525 can't remember ? Any idea on capacity etc and parts or just general advice/experience ? Cheers
  5. Cheers western I never thought of comparing photos of them nice one guys
  6. That's what I was after but was unable to find anything off the shelf, wish I had kept the carb 3.5 now it ran better than the ms4.6 and sounded perfect just the right balance
  7. Ah ok cheers for that it makes sense really but always thought there was a 110 double cab hi cap cheers guys. So anyone know wether the hi cap bodies are the same for sure?
  8. Hi guys just wondering where the extra length is in a 130 double cab hicap vs the 110 hi cap is the length in the cab part of the hicap part? Are the hicap bodies interchangeable between the two? Cheers
  9. Had similar on my van when I had the hitch fitted it had some kind of thick paint on it which made the ball a tight fit if this has similar maybe that's why
  10. Can't help you really as mine has the lt85 box but if it's only kissing it if it was me I'd probably leave it for now and see how it goes after all the engine and gearbox are fixed so only the flex in the exhaust that could cause an issue. Thinking about it though from memory I think mine does get close to the box aswell
  11. Saw this in an advert the other day while lookin at others for sale is that right does anyone know 144 left??
  12. Hi people I've been out of the landy scene for a while so I've become out of touch with prices etc, wondering what sort of prices non mot lightweights are going for at the minute? Cheers mike
  13. Ok not been on here for a year or two but keep getting updates on this topic so here's my experience. The original 90 v8 exhaust I left the back box in a put a straight through silencer instead of the large silencer. The sound was pretty perfect really, nice throaty burble etc. But not to extreme. So when I fitted the 4.6 and the td5 exhaust setup I was disappointed, first thing I did was remove the centre silencer and replace with a straight through pipe. Sounded good but much to loud for a road car, next thing I did was find a "sports" silencer, think it was sold to me as a jansport silencer, about 5" diameter and maybe 12" long this to was too loud aswell. The other issue with my setup and the td5 silencer is that it hangs low down. That's as far as I got until I gave up on the car and left it completely due to te Megasquirt issues I had. Hope this helps someone
  14. Yep, looks like it was pure luck when I bought the shaft about 4 years ago that it was the one that would fit my recon lt85 I bought from witham earlier this year haha. Anyway think I'm putting a normal flange on now it seems the easiest/cheapest option right now
