  1. Hello, The compressor for the air-suspention of the disco 2 is dead. Can I change the compressor with one from a P38? It's concerning a disco 2 manual from 1999 cheers
  2. Thanks for your answer, Is there a difference between early 300 (94-95) and later 300 (96-98)? As the RRC is on the same chassis as a Disco, wouldn't the exhaust from a disco 300 fit a RRC 300 softdash (same engine same chassis)?
  3. Hello, I was wondering if the exhaust-system between disco 200-300 and RRC 200-300 (manual and automatic) are compatible? Or are they all different? I think Disco 200 and RRC 200 = Disco 300 and RRC 300 = Manual- automatic???? 1995-1998??? 200-300???? My exhaust is f=ck$d (disco 300 automatic from 1998) I found exhaust for 10€ comming from a disco 300 manuel from 1995... Cheers, Fred
  4. Turbonutter, what a nice looking disco! Can i ask you where you found your front lights/indicators! is it plug and play? They look magnificant on a disco. Greetings from Brussels, Fred
  5. Monday I'll ask what exactly has been done already...
  6. Hello every-one, A friend just bought a disco 300 automatic from 1997 The previous owner lost the keys and remote. He ordered new keys and remote at Land Rover, but couldn't code the new key... (tied it at a local previous Rover garage) They managed to make remote work and lights will go on dashboard, but no engine starting... Now we're trying to repair this, but as the alarm (newer version) cuts out the injectionpump and starter, we don't now how to solve this. We connected it to the test-book (from Land Rover) and recieved the codes from Land Rover, but no succes yet. Some people told us that it is posible to open (crack) the "little box"??? near the pump and connect 12v to a wire inside this box???? I hope this question is clear enough... Best Regards, Fred
  7. I have been told that the propshaft of the 200 (with flange) will be 3cm (+- 1") to long!! Offroading this could be disaster. Is this true, because mine 300 is also 2" lifted and I want to change props (but without probs This prop from V8, should it come from 300 series and is it plug and play? I would have thougt these must be stronger than the props of a diesel, as the V8 has much more power and torgue? What about the front prop (to much angle)? How to solve this? With a Disco TD5 front shaft? With a defender 300 front shaft? Best regards, Fred
  8. I have a set of 18" wheels of the new Range rover (2005) for sale. will they fit on a disco 2 td5 and on a Range P38? Or do i need wheeladaptors? Some say yes, some say no...??? My wheels are in Brussels and the client (P38) is in North-Holland... so quickly fitt them to try is not an option. Cheers, Fred
  9. If u try to tighten the upper part of the pipe into an oval shape, gently using some pliars , your dipstick will stay locked. Just press 1mm and it will be enough. Fred
  10. Hello everyone, One little question: Will the 18" wheels from a New Range (From 2003-2008) fit a Range P38 and a Disco 2 whitout mods? Is the offset still ok? They are fitted with (from factory) 255/60/18 GoodYear tyres. Thanks for your answers, Fred
  11. Dwi, Nice to hear that it is working again. is it possible for u to take a few pictures of the kickdown cable (the end that u can disconnect) Cheers and good luck adjusting it, Fred
  12. Dave, In cold Auto can do weird if not enough oil (or bad quality). Is it only when gearbox is cold? Gets warm after 1 hour of driving, is it then back to normal? On a cold engine (and gearbox) try to check level of gearbox while engine is iddling. First change to all gears (1,2,3,D,N,R,P) then shift back to neutral and check level. If thas is alright,...change filter and oil?..... (Please let me now the results) Fred
  13. Hello, Trie to lock it by hand from the inside (they are prob frozen) and then press remote (if u want your alarm armed). I would trie a little WD40 in the lock and around the 'plastic pin' going op and down in your doors. Hope this will help. Fred

  15. Hello, Concerning my disco 300tdi (1997) i'm tinking of swapping my alu disco wheels for some steel defender weels. Do they have more offset then the disco alu-wheels, or is the same? Thanks for the advice, Fred

  17. Is yours lifted as well? Mine is only 2" lifted. ??is it worth taking a UJ in the place of the rubber?? Does the 200 one gives you a better ride (articulation)? Can I take propshaft and flange of the 200 and will it just fitt on the 300? Sorry for my mistakes (my flemish is better Cheers for the replies Delta
  18. Thank you! Will a 200tdi one fit properly and do the job? delta
  19. My question is do I have to put a new rubber rotoflex (old one is broken) or change it for the old type (UJ). My disco 300tdi is lifted 2". I read this somewhere: 'The Romulus/300-series Discovery has a Rotoflex rubber doughnut on the rear propshaft, instead of the earlier Universal Joint - type propshaft. This is supposed to isolate noise from the drivetrain. However, many Disco-owners find the coupling to disintegrate quite rapidly. So changing for the old type is what lots of people do - especially if they have lifted their vehicles, it seems. Go here to a Discoweb Tech-article to learn how to change for the old-type! Do not forget to renew the pinion oil seal while you're there!' thanks in advance, Delta
