  1. Hi everyone, been a while since I have posted on here as haven't had a Landrover for a little while now I am near to finishing a motorbike I have been building for tackling some green lanes and wondered if anyone can point me in the direction of some. I live in the Bungay area of South Norfolk but my riding buddy is based in the Yarmouth area. Both our bikes although fully road legal aren't great for doing loads of road miles but fortunately he has a van so a bit of travel to an area of decent lanes (Thetford etc) wouldn't be a problem. I will be scouring the OS maps for some routes but tried and tested routes people know about would be appreciated. Thanks, Sam
  2. Interesting read. My 200TDI Disco seems to brick wall at 3000rpm although in the lower gears (1st 2nd) it'll rev a bit past that. Just wondered if this was normal? I've got a few jobs and things to check on it which i hope will improve this but wondered if this was par for the course on a stock 200tdi.
  3. Hi, As per title, what sort of rpm do most peoples 200tdi engines rev to comfortably? Thanks Sam
  4. I'm picking up some defender pads tomorrow as they look the same etc. By two holes i meant 2 holes in the pads themselves. 300 tdi rear pads are held in by a spring plate that is held in by the two pins rather than the pins actually going through holes in each pad. So does anyone know if Defender rear brake calipers fit a Disco axle? I would have thought a Defender diff ratio would be different to a Disco? Is there anyway easy way of identifying the rear axle?
  5. Hi, i'm new here! Recently bought a 200tdi Disco as wanted to go back to 4x4's again (previous landy was a 1960 series 2). So, 1 week after buying it and (despite it having a full mot) one of the rear pads is down to the metal. Ok, no probs, new set of pads. Order some, they're wrong! Basically the pads i have in the back of my disco have two holes at the top that the split pins go through. According to some people i have spoken to these are Defender pads? Does this mean i have defender rear brake calipers and poss a defender rear axle? Any info any one can give me that might clear this up would be appreciated, especially as the caliper looks like it might need pistons/seals. Thanks in advance!
