  1. I did this last week using series 88" van sides, nice easy job and only cost me £30
  2. its not available to buy new, I have been looking for a decent one from a vehicle being broken,
  3. I Have been trying to get hold of a decent 110 middle crossmember ( the one the rear suspension a frame mounts too) without joy and am wondering is that part of a 110 chassis the same as on a 90 ? they look the same from what pictures I have seen but i'm not certain. Mh chassis is fine apart from the middle and I cant afford a new chassis at the moment. If the 90 bit is the same I can widen my search. Anyone know for sure.
  4. thanks, think I may get one have to see what bills I have coming up first
  5. I have an early 110 with a 300tdi engine and r380 which really could do with a new chassis, I have come across a firm that has some unused new old stock tdci 110 chassis fairly cheap , what would the differences be ?
  6. https://secure.pablanchard.co.uk/product.asp?productID=2643 cheaper here
  7. Just got back from a short weekend away this afternoon, was at Parc du Marquenterre yesterday. its a great place to spend a day you will like it. I have been there 3 times now
  8. Mines does that too, When I brake I get a torrent of water down from the channed on the inside onto my right foot, have an old sock stuffed up there for a temporary fix
  9. I went up there, was very few sellers but its not usually very big anyway. Got a few what nots and it got me out of the house for the morning so cant grumble.
  10. Almost finished replacing my transfer case but cant remember where which bolt came from ( the ones that hold the transfer case to the gearbox)and I am sure I read some place about the possibility of sticking one of the longer bolts where one of the shorter ones should be and it catches inside and locks up the box. had a look in the tech archive and cant find it there. I did find the post in there about using long bolts with the head cut of as a guide though and it works a treat Anyone know which hole it is that can cause the problem ?
  11. I just finished swapping my a frame balljoint with a gwyn lewis ready pressed in one. Took under 20 mins it was almost enjoyable Had nightmares getting the old one out last time so thought I would take the easy route. I think the fact that the britpart one on there was less than a year old helped as the nuts on the fulcrum didnt have long enough to rust up properly so came off easy.
  12. have fitted a new gearbox and put the transfer case back on, have a new cross drilled input gear and the bearings are fitted and I have replced both the races. now the fun starts, have been searcing the forums and reading all sorts much conflicting regarding do you need to check/change shims or not. I would prefer to get it right now rather than have it all go wrong after as i have a long trip planned. I dont have much idea about endfloat preload ect and have never used a dial test indicator. can anyone give me a plain language idiots guide for the uneducated so I can get this right? Also is there much difference between the actual dial test guages or are they all the same sort of thing? Any help aprreciated
