  1. AFAIK 24V gear is harder to come by and more expensive since the majority of cars is built on 12V.
  2. Maybe it's time to give the girlfriend an oil change...
  3. Buy one that does not need to be places in mummy's car afterwards?
  4. 50 milligrams???? Come on! That would be an alcohol weight percentage of 20% - alcohol being lighter than water and blood being heavier??? If you /do/ have that much alcohol in your blood I think your wife has been visiting a taxidermist and that you're dead. :-) :-)
  5. Ratios are the number of turns on the input side resulting in the number of turns on the output side. Front and rear diffs should have the same ratio (given the same wheel size)
  6. Could also be the driveshafts... How much play on the CV joints there? Needed to replace them once and before doing so made the steering very wobbly.
  7. I still wonder why one of the leads was so badly corroded... Yes the solution might be new dizzy cap and leads etcetera but why is one of the leads so bad?
  8. Probably not. Probably he will be pestered by the SO to the extent he removes the buzzer/horn/whatshamacallit and sigh every two days about a battery being flat...
  9. Wifey still inside??? <gdr&lh/>
  10. My first action would be to check if the ventilation system is dry. Condensation is a matter of humid warm air touching a cold surface so the challenge is to use dry air instead of humid air - especially in the first part of the voyage. After a while there is a slight chance that your windows are warm enough not to fog over... on the other hand... it's a 110. Does it actually have heating... :-) I'd say: think DRY not HOT.
  11. A couple of old knickers from the missus? Or pantyhose?
  12. I'm not an expert but I think it is to make the fan ore silent or to make it more efficient (can you imagine that this thing runs clockwise and that the long impellers are sucking in the air which in turn is pushed inward extra by the short ones?) That would be a logical explanation for me but again I am not an expert in this.
