  1. Had ARB's in mine for almost 4 years. Have done over 35k road miles, a dozen big challenges, and over 40 play days.. Still absolutely perfect and all i do is change the oil in the axle when i can remember, which is probably every 6k miles. thanks
  2. This looks excellent guys. Ill defintely do one event (which ever is the closest) ... only shame is that its not in the south scoring system is great though
  3. You bringing it to wales for the J33p event this weekend?
  4. it looks just like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rule-4-In-Line-Bilge-Blower-Marine-Fan-240-/160685544681?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item25699ad4e9 But someone sells them here in the UK
  5. perfect timing hey - i cant help but ... i bought a marine fan from ebay for about £15 wired it in to the exsiting plug and literally just jammed it down the heater in duct after taking the lid off on the wing.... works a lot better than standard - and was a 15min bodge. of course you could install it much better
  6. i have just bought the terrafirma ones. there cheap £15 each plus i figure i get teh benefit of using oil in them until ashcroft get some more.
  7. thanks steve there exspensive... more than ashcrofts! if i run standard ones on ashcrofts and i strip it will i damage the ashcroft splines?
  8. Hi what’s the best drive flanges you can buy? I am running Ashcroft cv’s/ shafts but unfortunately Ashcroft are out of stock of their drive flanges.. who is the next best make available? I have seen paddocks do some, bearmach and terrafirma.. they are all a lot cheaper than Ashcroft though…any ideas? I am looking for the strongest Thanks
  9. We have 6 trucks from surrey going to the j33p event at seven sisters this year should be a good event. Hopefully see you there
  10. How annoying, cant walkers and cyclists stick to the thousands of miles of footpaths and bridleways in the uk which i think make up 98% of it anyway. The 2% should stay Open to all traffic. i have no time and see no weight in this arguement
  11. That looks excellent! How many times are you going to cross inside the car? To stop any bends inwards.
  12. hey Daan shame your not closer Were off to the seven sisters again this year November 25th i think but with the j33pclub.co.uk Quick question how do you tension the belt to 15NM? Surely doing the nuts up with a torque wrench is one thing but how do you know what place to tighten it?
  13. thanks les ill have a look. i took the cover off and its in a bad way. also removed power steering pump and water pump so will do thoes while im there.
  14. good idea - actually i have the brake pipe to.. its just annoying as when you keep moving a caliper you end up pinching them.
  15. Hi all, i want to replace my brake lines with goodrich hoses. Mainly due to me bending the pipe round over the years has kinked them all quite badly and the MOT is due. So its the ones from the caliper back but also from the caliper in to the back of the caliper... if thats males sense. does anyone know who sells these? thanks
  16. yes i am that would be great. ill strip it this weekend and send you a pm if thats ok
  17. Hi does anyone fancy helping me change the cam belt on my 300tdi landy? Obviously ill pay them. Im happy to strip it so its ready and will buy all the parts required etc prior, i just need the timing pins to do the job and the correct torqe settings / tool when its all in? i have never done one bebefore however am perfectly capable to strip and re build it after. thanks in advance
  18. i have 4 wheels and tyres 8 x 15 good offset 33.12.50.15 wrangler mud terrains i might sell. i also have teh 5th new wheel but never got around to buying the 5th tyre. there used for teh last 2 years but pretty good nick have easily 10mm left. im not looking for the world if your interested.
  19. Just a quick note to say thank you to john Saley for his winch. I have had it on a few months now and its absolutely brilliant. Free spool is easy and the thing pulls like a train all day long. A few times i saw some 8274's slowing and this didn't miss a beat. i would definitely advise anyone to go down this route. It does not matter how stuck you are or how high the slope is it doesn't reduce speed. Also in terms of plasma rope i have ran a lot and am really pleased with the Ruff tracks rope - great price and very strong easily with stood everything we chucked at it. just shame my cv's didnt. Anyone selling any ASHCROFTS ? thanks again Will
  20. yes i mean the bar from the steering box to the swival (front one), i would have though this would be the same size as the disco bearing in mind the running gear is the same etc
  21. thanks guys, so do i need a discovery uprated steering arm or will my defender uprated arm be long enough? thanks Will
  22. oh its much easier to just unscrew the ball joint when it wears out using a disco one. On a defender its a real faff having to muck around trying to press it out of the drop arm.. took me 1/2 day previously.
  23. Hi im finally going to do this mod and will buy a relocation damper kit so i can still run one. I currently have an uprated steering arm on my defender will this be long enough to screw a ball joint in instead of that funny join that also has half the damper on.. or do i need to buy a discovery strengthened arm? my question is can i keep the same arm / length wise plus is there anything else i will need to buy? (i have a disco drop arm already) thanks
  24. Reading this i would tell Steve to jog on
