  1. I was going to get a set of these for my 110 for a recent rally but after a couple of threads on another forum I decided against it. They're a directional tyre so unless you get lucky(ish and have a puncture on the correct side you're going to have a tyre on the wrong way round. Could be very dangerous in wet conditions. My 2p's worth (but I am a BFG whore anyway ) DD
  2. Unless he's randomly attaching stickers it could be Outback. They do some good kit. I'm guessing it's not a lightforce bumper
  3. My 92 N/A only had 46k on when i got it 3 years ago. Although it was ex MOD then went to a safari park so probably didn't do too many miles per year. Unusual but not unheard of.
  4. Looks alot nice than my DC conversion!! Yup, alot of work gone into that but at the end of the day it's still overpriced for a 20 year old motor. Someone will buy it though
  5. I've just bought a Nokia x6 and a mate that does mobile testing recommended this program: http://www.viewranger.com/products.php Only had a quick look at the website so far, no idea what it's like but looks OK DD
  6. Tons of laning to be done around Thetford! There are some top pubs around the outskirts of Newmarket (not in the town)!!
  7. Watchya Pete How far are you from Maidstone mate I've got all of region 3's byways plotted on 2004 MM. You still need to check on the definitive map or whatever the local council use but I'm sure we can get it onto your PC somehow Cheers DD
  8. OOOH Lovely! Do you still have any casettes to play in the stereo though?
  9. I've got the Iron goat dash (way too expensive). If it was out at the time I'd have gone for the Raptor dash. Next LR maybe
  10. I did have electric RRC seats in a while back which were a bit of a nuisance to fit. I found the best way of fitting them and setting them in a nice position (I can't do electrics) was to tape the battery from a cordless drill to the cables. I had to get rid of them in the end though as they gave me no leg room in the back, everyone had to sit sidesadle. For some strange reason manual seats aren't quite so big. Just thought I'd share
  11. Morning! I'm still using my original rear door on my DC conversion. Just had the window section chopped off and some capping put on. I'll need to get a swingway carrier at some point because the door/wheel carrier is no being held on by 2 hinges not the full 3. I't been on for about a year and a half now and the weight on the hinges doesn't seem to have made much difference yet.
  12. Very easy to fit yeah. You need some kind of support bracket under the seat box for the runners to bolt on to. I've got some lengths of angle iron with some M8 bolts welded to it.
  13. I had to take the arm rests off of mine. Couldn''t get the cubby box in while they were on.
  14. If you want to do the RRC 2nd row thing I won a complete set of seats on ebay yesterday. I only wanted the front seats so you can have mine if you want. Don't want anything for them.
  15. Mine were getting very old and tired, over longish trips they gave me quite a bit of back ache. I fitted a pair of RRC seats today and oolala they're comfy!
  16. Hiya mate I've options 2 & 3 of your list on mine. Both are bolted to the front of the seatbox so they sit behind the passengers feet. Ade
  17. I used the fibreglass North Offroad roof piece for my DC conversion. Top bit of kit! Ade
  18. Just to bring up an old thread. I was going to put a spare on the roofrack (taking 2 spares on the rally). But after the thread about excessive weight on the rack I'm now thinking about the bonnet. I was thinking about using a pair of rachet straps in an X shape on O rings in all 4 corners of the wings. I'f I put the rings through the wings with backing plates would this be enough to support the weight? Cheers Ade
  19. Hi Keith Someone else has bought up the problem with paying by card for fuel in France. Apparently it's due to different software on the chip & pin machines. France is on CP1 and we use CP2 (or summat like that) Bit of useless info for ya there mate Enjoy your trip Ade
  20. Not sure if this'll work but the AA have a country by country info sheet to download on pdf. http://www.theaa.com/motoring_advice/touring_tips/france-monaco.pdf
  21. 80kg, gulp!! I've got 3000 mile - 2 week rally in a few weeks and I'm taking 2 spare wheels, 1 will be on the rack with 4 x 20ltr jerry cans and a pair of waffle boards. I'm keeping the tub clean to carry 14 days food, water, clothes, tents ect. for me and co-driver Ade
  22. I can't tell yet I've got 3 KM's on and 1 KM2 Plan on getting another 2 in the next month of so as spare wheels. I got mine from Devon4x4 for 119 + vat, cheapest & quickest delivery I've found
  23. I had RRC seats in my 110 for a few months. They were very comfy but that was lost by them being completely impractical. The leg room in the back was reduced to only a couple of inches so anyone wanting to sit in the back had to sit sideways. I'm only 5'8" so it wasn't even due to the seat being to far back. Ended up slinging them and putting the original Def ones back in. I'll probably just sort the foams out at some point. Ade
  24. I got my KM2 from Devon 4x4. It was £119 + vat which also came with free delivery. They were the cheapest plae I found
  25. I've got a 13" 3 spoke Mountney in my 110 It's been on about a year now and it's a huge improvement to the old wagon wheel. Ade
