Unplugged and re plugged the plugs and it works ! Think there was a load of moisture inside and walla works ! Need to put a flap over the plugs as its in my Lwt hybrid

Mine was doing this because of a corroded holder / moisture

Spring compressors ?? I've always just Hi lift jacked it in the air then axle stands under the chassis rails and dropped it on 2 axle stands took me 40 mins to do the last swap but I did just chop the old dampers off

I earth it direct to the battery with the terminal on the bulb and earth it to the battery and get no light was working earlier when I drove it to work . But I went to tow a transit it and the passenger headlamp decided not to work been working fine last 4 months etx never had a issue

Get 10.5v direct to the battery

No But I will right now as I'm in work being paid to ummm do ummm well yeah

Ok I thought I blew a bulb on my passenger side but its a weird one . Fuse is good . Bulb is good . Getting 11.8v without the bulb in when I put the bulb in I get 0v reading ??? Am I missing something title obvious here tried it earthed direct to chassis / battery etc . Kinda lost here

Vulcan just what I was thinking . I'm sure on my dads 300 it's got clear washer hose for a section of it . Going to order a new 2m length of blue or black silicone and a new boost gauge !

The small one that goes from pump to turbo . Why can't it be silicon?? I mean on a rs turbo there silicone ??

Yeah trying to work out what mm it is . And why wouldn't silicone be suitable ?

I managed to break mine while swapping out my turbo . Thinking of replacing them all with silicone . Any idea what internal mm hose I need ?? 3 /5mm ??

I think the actuators died again second one I've fitted ... Second hand one was the last one . The wastgate is moving very easily etc gonna try hunt another actuator

What can cause this ?? I've checked the pipes no leaks . Turbo pipes all good . Wastegate set to stock length and is a known good second hand unit fitted after mine have up the ghost from overboosting new vacume pipes etc still boosting 20+psi and not really going that good considering . Been told could be oil seal ? The turbine has no play in it feels tighter than most recon units I get in work !

After a discussion with a freind. Can any one confirm if there was a cur off date for vehicles built PRE XX date that didnt need to be SVa tested when rebuilt / chassis modifications where done im sure i read ina comic 1999 or 1998 ?

Checked all fuses all ok. But now have no illumination of the dash when sidelights or headlights are on and the R/h sidelights front and rear are out / not working . is there a earth / switch fault known ?

Ok having issues with temperature gauge + fuel gauge on my 200tdi disco(full disco loom / clocks in a lwt) I earth out the sender wire and the clocks do nothing . there is continuity along the length of the wire to the block @ the clocks . I have a smiths gauge also that i put a 12v feed to and when earthed it shoots up(as it should) but when connected to the temperature sender(brand new) it doesnt register anything, Could someone please help me here I am guessing there is a Live feed damaged somewhere or a earth ? rev counter / speedo / all warning lights work . does any one have a diagram / lay out for the 2 blocks that connect into the rear of the clocks .

can any one tell me what each block does on the rear AKA what colour wire in each block is what trying to check continuity on the temperature gauge wire as when i earth it it doesnt shoot up stays at bottom and tried 3 sets of clocks in it .,

It's just a few adults for 7 mile trip Sunday . Might try grab a bench of a mate for the weekend as the Lwt has nothing in the back ATM

whats teh legality of carrying people in the rear on a 1974 ? do i need a bench seat + belts or just a bench or ok to use just sit on the arch ?

Ok on my lwt it has a full 200tdi loom . having issue of no temp gauge working or fuel gauge everything else does atm. i put the wire of the temp sender to the block and the temp gauge doesnt go up . Is there a fuse for the temp gauge / fuel gauge?

because it has the floorpan shape of a s3 LWT . yet pedals from a defender and a lower than normal dash? meaning not so much of the pedal arms are in view? and that looks like it will only fit a defender ?

i have seen them but i dont think they will work in a LWT with a defender pedal box and a custom dash ?

Been looking into some security for the LWT. Been lookign at maby a wheel disc lock that has the bar comign out of the base and possibly a pedal box style lock . could any one point out anyother possible security meashures i could look into or advise on the best style lock etc to go for?

how would i go about this mate ? justa clansman base? and 2 ariel sections ? what cable do i need etc because i havent bought anythign yet
