What looks like beadlocks are what is probably not legal.

Those wheels are effectively split rims. Yes they are beadlocks but the tyre is sat in exactly the same way it would be on a normal rim. The beadlock is a flange in place of the wheel bead. Whilst they won't be e marked they are not beadlocks in the normal sense. 20190704_164533.thumb.jpg.0d18f3bc16a90b28993a870415dedfd7.jpg

The yellow is the outer rim as per normal wheels.

Incidentally, for those who enjoy these things but would rather a slightly less "moneyed" version check out Mondo Enduro / Mondo Sahara / Terra Circa with Austin Vince et al., a group of British lads with no money doing it on cheap bikes with no backup and no clue.

I will second this I have both and they are by far the best overlanding videos. These guys prove you don't need all the toy just a bit of ingenuity.

I will probably end up waiting for the long way up to come out on dvd. As I flatly refused to have 10 different subscriptions and can't be bothered/not sure I'm capable of a work round.

If you want to reinstate a Cosworth V6 in it I might know someone...

I suspect Mike found his gearing a bit tall on 35's because he runs shagged out rattly old 200TDi's :SVAgoaway: you could correct it with diff or transfer box ratios depending on your use/budget or fit a decent engine and not be a problem ;)

:rtfm: He's also got a 200tdi in it. :banned:
