  1. All 3 of them... I heard ##itpart do a two year warranty now in an effort to improve their name. I've worked on the theory if it doesn't move or have seals it will probably be ok having said that many moons ago I had a ##itpart stop/tail melt on me they did replace it but I wasn't brave enough the use it. Mike
  2. Our 90 is an 89 vintage and that came with a flat roof as it is a station wagon. But our 110 is ribbed but you'd be hard pressed to be earlier that that. I like both but wouldn't change one for the other. The 110 could do with a new roof as someone riveted Ali over the alpine lights making it impossible to refit them without a line of rivets round them. Mike
  3. I had to mod 45's pedal box to fit a disco servo and master cylinder. Mike
  4. The reservoir on ours is pointing down hill but seems to work no problem. Mike
  5. Blocked nipple? Get a pin or bit of wire to press the ball in they jam from time to time. Mike
  6. Atleast he wasn't looking for a way round it like a lot do...... My hat.....why thank you. Mike
  7. Disco has more ports (200tdi) so you would need to completely Re plumb and change the front calipers. I have done this on 45. Mike
  8. I have used it on mine with no ill affects. Any grease is better than none. Mike
  9. Front props are phased differently to rears. Rears are normally in line fronts are one or two splines off in line. You can Re phase them but obviously not if it's to short. If it makes you feel better I had a drum fall off the same way but I ran it over so stop to pick it up. Now I whined the nuts back on as well as the areas. Mike

  11. Xeng do a pedal lock and gear stick lock among others now sold by foundry 4x4. Mike
  12. The genuine lr manual has better wiring diagrams than the Haynes but they are the same style ie not in one complete diagram. Mike
  13. Looks like keanol (spelling maybe wrong) I think it was castrol and now discontinued. If it is it's a water resistant grease that was used on boat trailers and in the marine industry. Mike
  14. Might be worth reading the trailer IVA manual it will A. Help with ideas and B. Technically if you want to use it on the road you will need to pass it I believe. Mike
  15. I've used a bottle jack and some wood just check which way up you need the jack most jacks only work on there side one way up. Mike
  16. To be fair if you can't afford a chassis then get it welded and use it for a few more years whilst saving for a chassis. At least that way you get to enjoy it. Mike
  17. I welded mine up but only because I did it and I can't afford a galv chassis at the moment but a new chassis is on the list for the future. So if it's a keeper and you can afford it do a chassis. Mike
  18. I believe it's a direct fit but you need to swap the pistons as well. Mike
  19. I'd have to disagree there but I'm not about to start a slanging match however I'd agree that you don't need massive tyres and pattern makes a huge difference. Mike
  20. You may well have larger rims. I think you can get an 18 in defender pcd but most people put pcd altering spacers on to fit range rover alloys etc. However it didn't leave the factory like it and I'd be surprised if a lr main dealer did it. Mike
  21. I think 265/75x16 were an optional extra but there all the same (similar) overall diameter and wheel size (265's need wider rims). Mike
  22. Have had several fail on different cars and I can say it depends on the injection pump and your use. One of mine I didn't realize it had failed till I towed with it, another wouldn't go above 60mph without it and another failed to the point it wouldn't run so I bypassed it then it would do 80 and towed no problem before I had chance to replace it. So yes you do need it but it doesn't have to be mechanical. Mike
  23. Somebody knew what they were doing when that went into the shed in 02! mike
  24. I hope not otherwise I'm going to have trouble with my ibex. Of coarse if you still want a utilitarian off-road capable vehicle. In the words of David foers "there's a company in Northumberland that can help". Mike
  25. Internal duct is screwed through the wing then the grill has plastic spikes that push into clips in the wing. Mike
