  1. Hi. I have had the same issue with my Disco 2. I was told it was due to the sunlight sensor on the top of the dash causing more cold air to be directed to the side of the car facing the sun. Try testing the sensor for fault (assuming you have a Disco 2. Not sure if the Disco 1 had this). Run the AC at night and see if there is still a temp. difference left to right. If there is the sensor is likely to be faulty.
  2. Hi there. Not sure which part of the world you are in, but here in SA, as soon as the water had evaporated, the M&S lights on my vehicle stopped flashing. Also, with the M&S lights flashing, the car should be at least useable as it is in Limp Home mode, where the only gears used are reverse and 3rd. Perhaps take it for a small run and build up a bit of heat in the gearbox then leave it for a while. The heat should dry the switches, assuming it is a damp gearbox selector swich. Obviously, check fluid levels etc for any other problems before taking it for a drive. Good luck.
  3. Hi. I had a similar issue with my Disco. In my case it was the postion sensor for the gear lever that was getting damp when a outlet from the AC dripped water onto the wiring harness for it. It only happened when the AC was working hard. Rerouting, extending the AC outlet solved the issue.
