  1. I thought it was time to sell my 90 as i hardly ever used it. Hadn't been off-roading for ages and done about 600 in 8 months. Took my wife's classic rangie off-roading and have decided to claim that as mine. I am going to sell my 90, but i know i'm going to miss it and probably regret it. Meanwhile the Rangie is getting a make-over. Good luck with your Landy!
  2. If you want more axle drop, then fit -2" rear shock mount and cut 2" off front turrets. Various bushes will get extra stress i suppose, but works fine for me.
  3. Here is my wife's with 35" and 4" lift. Going to change to a 3" lift as i have springs sitting there.
  4. did you ever get your difflock converted?
  5. I wonder who came up with this idea, it's not something you would do everyday. "My batterys knacked, i'll just zap it with my welder and see what happens" My mate is a good welder, i use him. Much safer than hiding behind some plywood!
  6. I bought a s/s mid section from paddocks for around £49, and then had a custom place do the rear pipe for £100. It only took them a few hours to do the pipe as i had already cut the hole for the side exit at the rear quarter. Keeps the tail pipe well out the way and saves me ripping it off again. Kenny.
  7. Used or unused cooking oil, does it matter? Does the cooking oil clog up anything? Kenny.
  8. Pics look really good, looks a good mod to do. When you get yours done QT would be nice to see yours too.
  9. The mach 5 beadlock wheels are a no goer. The vehicle they were on was nicked before the wheels were taken off. Thanks for your replies, but looks like back to the drawing board again.
  10. I had my Rangie fail on high emissions. My mechanic guy restricted the throttle cable so it wouldn't rev very hard and it passed ok. Mine is a deisel
  11. Thanks Carl, once i get them and strip them down, i'll look at getting the bolts from a local supplier. Is there anything else i need to know. Once the tyres are re-ftted is it just a case of bolting the outer rings on. Should i torque the bolts or just a good nick up?
  12. Hi, i'm buying some beadlock wheels next week which will need some refurb. Planning on stripping them down to shotblast and repaint. I don't want to stick the old nuts & bolts back on as most of them are quite rusty. Does any of the guys on the forum, who supply the DIY beadlock kits have the nuts/bolts for sale? Is there anything else i should know or replace when refurbing? It's mach 5 wheels and i've heard the valves can get ripped off fairly easily. Weld on valve protector sleeve or flush fitting valves, opinions please. Any help much appreciated. Kenny.
  13. Thanks for the info, if you get a chance at some point could you email me a few pics? Not in any hurry. Sound a really good plan and make over for Rangie Cheers, kmmorris@blueyonder.co.uk
  14. I bought a brake pipe flaring kit from my local motor factors. Works a treat and it wasn't expensive. Probably get one out of halfords.
  15. Hi, if you have some pics of the discovery dash all fitted it would be good to see. Is the dash conversion quite straight forward? If need be pm me and i can always give you my email address. Regards Kenny.
