I am having my V8 rebuild - shall I just put in a standard 4.0 shaft? I have heard that the 3.9 cam shaft (from the very similar V8 in the Disco I) has more low-down torque, but has to be machined to fit in the 4.0. Any opinions?

Hmmm - I got told by a technician at the place where I bought my disco (an independent specialist) that they can "pair" any old disco ii remote with my car. Is that not possible then?

I am looking for a second-hand key fob for a discovery ii. I only got one when I bought my vehicle. If anyone has one lying around... please shout!
