  2. Well after a very long cleaning session today, i am very happy to report that the only damage recieved is a broken front indicater lens , So change the fluids and ready for the tuff trophy, Get better soon steve
  3. Hi all, Just wondering what make of helmets and intercoms you guys use for winch comps ?? And do they work well ?

Many thanks to all who assisted us on our first attempt today, We were very happy with 9 punches as we had a huge learning curve, I have never driven in a comp and my co-pilot had never even seen a comp before ! Very nicely laid out event, And plenty of spectaters also , Looking forward to the next time the truck is spare for me to use again
  5. Well apart from swapping a tyre over, which will leave me spareless (real word ? ) I reckon not much more to do Gunna pick up borrowed trailer friday and pack up tent ect, Anyone taking a TV so we can watch qualifying ? Or the race on sunday if i get a puncture early on
  6. Spectators are always welcome to the events, I Shall be there sometime after lunch ( Grand prix traffic permitting) So i will do some scrutineering in the afternoon/evening, I am also competing in this round a as one off, So need to get my truck scrutineered also

  8. Usual weapon of choice - 90 truck cab, 2X 8274"s 2X lockers, Ashcroft throughout, External cage, bead lockers on simex/Mach 5"s Loads of suspension, Blaaa Blaaaa Blaaa, So should be able to get really stuck with that lot on board
  9. No, I have the option of using a friends truck when he is not able to compete, It should be a slow day but fun anyhow

Im there, And competing this time ( as well as scrutineering) Never entered a winch comp before so should be a intresting day, I have a volunteer "bitch" who has never even watched a comp before and wont meet him till the weekend of the comp, I have been told he has youth on his side and resembles a butchers dog ?? Hee Hee Just for the record although i am scrutineer i have and will not have anything to do with laying out the punches, Im scared already

  12. Yes, Your more than welcome to camp saturday night, We are trying to encourage a social gathering the night before, also gives me more time to scrutineer the trucks

Howdy all, Richard (scrutineer) here, Many thanks to everyone involved in the weekend, we had a great time, Although a tad busy towards 09.30 sunday morn, But as mentioned the more of you that turn up on sat evening for a social i can check the cars over then Chatting to people over the event it came across a very positive vibe, and even a tad of sunburn looking forward to the next one now, see you all there

  16. Our local ( hampshire) aldi has got ditital vernier calipers for under £8 Brought a set today and seem qutie good enough for general garage stuff
