Gent's,
I'm sure all of this info is scattered around this forum some where but I need to go shopping in the morning
I have a 110 (ex Td5) that is soon to be bastardised fitted with a 4.6 v8.
Would greatly appreciate it if someone would be willing to advise what lube / fluid & the quantity for the below:
4.6 Engine
R380 Box (not from the Td5)
Transfer box (from the Td5)
Td5 power steering system
Would also love to know what flavour (green or orange) and how much antifreeze I should chuck in the coolant system.
Ta muchly,
Mick.
Right chaps,
No matter which flavour of LR you have what is the worst piece of design on it?
I'll start with the wiring loom on a '99 Defender where it passes under the steering column under the dash, absolutely impossible to trace individual wires
The fact that your chassis isn't galvanised is not allowed!
Gents,
Any idea of the correct name for the tape used to hold together Land Rover wiring looms?
Don't think loom tape is the correct term as Google brings up non adhesive tape and this stuff is far, far stickier than insulation tape.
Cheers,
Mick.
Hi all,
Can anybody tell me what pressure the fuel system on a 4.6 P38 runs at please?
Need to order some fuel lines for the conversion in my 110.
Thanks,
Mick.
Gents, wonder if you can help.
I'm trying to find out a plug & socket connector number, can't post a picture at the moment so please bare with me!
Connector is under the bonnet on the off side of the bulkhead just under the expansion bottle. It's a grey multi pole plug & socket bolted directly to the bulk head (not to be confused with the grey multi pole connector fastened to the clutch pedal assembly)
Anybody know the connection number?
Thanks for your help.
Mick & I suspect Off Road Toad as if I can't find the connector number and where it goes I'll cut it off & he will get half a loom!
Sorry for the hijack but I was looking for a roof console and stumbled upon your post.
I've taken a punt and just ordered one, will post a write up of installation.
Ehm,
Why would you want to "Mix It" with the farming community if you aren't a part of it?
Enjoy your LR for what it is, farming (or any other line of work isn't a fashion statement, it's a way of life)
I could put NASA stickers on my 110 but I doubt they would let me have a tour of the space station
Your question isn't very clear but if you need to replace just the intercooler you don't need to remove the rad.
Remove the grill, front panel, slam panel & cross braces, undo the radiator side brackets & jobs a good un.
HTH's,
Mick.
Gent's,
I'm sure this has been asked a thousand times so forgive me but would a (if it matters) '99 defender pass the MOT with only 5 point harnesses fitted (I.e. No inertia reel seatbelts?)
Cheers,
Mick.
