Gents, Not wishing to reignite the Britpart debate but could anybody tell me if Paddocks stock Britpart? They list an aftermarket radiator for Defender TD5 at £99 + VAT, if I order it will it turn up in a blue box? If so it looks like I'll have to spend £220 + VAT for original ( but I will know it will last 10 years )

Quick question please gents, After changing a TD5 radiator how much antifreeze should I be putting in? Thanks, Mick.

Gents, Coming back from a mornings clay pigeon shooting, I was doing around 70 on the motorway when she seemed to loose a chunk of power and the temperature gauge started swinging around from cold to red hot, ah electrical gremlins I thought, after about a minute the gauge dropped to the bottom so I foolishly pressed on. At the top of the slip road steam started drifting up the bulkhead, not good. Limped home and popped the bonnet to the delightful sound of the expansion tank boiling away. Had a quick look around, fan belt is still there, hoses are all ok and the oil looks good but I can't help thinking head gasket or worse... What are the common engine issues on an early TD5? Is it time to start shopping for a 4.6? Cheers, Mick.

Gent's, Fag lighter in my 110 caught fire the other day melting the sat nave charger! Bought a replacement but can't for the life of me figure out how to get the green plastic illumination shroud off without snapping it, what am I missing chaps? Embarrassed.

Hi all, I have a 110 that I use to tow my CCV thingy. The 110 is fitted with Gwyn's challenge suspension (which IIRC gives about a 2" lift) & 35" tyres. Even with the Dixon Bate at it's lowest point I can't hitch the trailer safely so every time I need to do so I'm changing wheels. Obviously this is a pain in the arse, I can fab extension plates for the drop plate but have heard that a TD5 rear isn't exactly bullet proof If I do this am I asking for trouble? Cheers, Mick.

Cheers Ralph, The pic is of my 110 when I purchased her (quite a bit modified since then) Reason I ask is I want to get a truck cab painted the same colour, it's not metallic but can you tell me how I defrentiate between the "solid" colours you have listed please? Thanks, Mick.
