  1. Hi all, Does anybody have a dimensioned drawing of a 90 pickup they could post? Cheers, Mick.
  2. Hi Gents, I know ths has been discused before but the more I read the more confused I become, so please bear with me. I have a '88 RRC auto pickup running a 4.6 with 35" Creepy Crawlers,as you can imagine I need to upgrade the drive train. Am I correct in thinking that I can fit a 24 spline ARB and Ashcroft shafts to my existing axles? If so on Ashcrofts site which do I order?(Defender, Disco 2, Later RR?) Along with the shafts what else do I need to change to fit these parts to my axles? Once I've done the axles what are my options regarding gearboxes? (I want to stick with an Auto) Many thanks for your help, Mick.
  3. Thanks for the reply but I can't see the answer in that link. Probably just me
  4. Hi all, Can anybody tell me if a truck with bucket seats with 5 point harnesses will pass the MOT if standard seat belts are not fitted? To me it's obvious that it should but... Cheers, Mick.
  5. Conversley I have a 3 HP 15 CFM (I think) compressor with a 150 Ltr tank, When I started out it was more than big enough but as time has moved on and my stock of air tools has incresaed it's become annoying waiting for the bloody thing to keep up. As always I guess the lesson is buy the biggest you can afford then upgrade when you have to. Mick.
  6. Hi all, I'm looking for information regarding how to go for true hydraulic steering rather than PAS, I've searched the forum but haven't found anything so far. Would greatly appreciate any information on: a) how to do it. b) if such a system would be road legal. Many thanks, Mick.

  11. Where do you live Andi? Would be easier for somebody with the right test gear to bob round than it would be do describe it on here. Failing that google Green Oval and see if there is a relevant manual containing a wiring diagram. HTH's, Mick.
  12. Fridge, Sorry to be a pain in the arse but when you say "And wait for it to find a map" I take it you have more than the huge scale map that comes with the software? If so did you have to scan them in or can I buy / beg / steal them from somewhere?! I can see the map import function and the list including Kompass, Maptech, Quo Vardis etc but can't find anything of relevance on Google. Cheers in advance, Mick
  13. Hi All, Have downloaded Oziexplorer and first impressions are it's bloody complicated! Does anybody know of a location from which I can download decent maps as the UK one that comes with it seems to be useless (unless I'm missing something!) Any web sites around with decent info on how to use Oziexplorer as the built in tutorial hasnt really helped much! Cheers, Mick.
  14. Hi all, Sorry if this is too off topic but I need some help. Does anybody know how to work out the pressure applied to a roller of known dimensions in PLI from the PSI applied to pneumatic cylinders attached at either end? Cheers in advance, Mick.
