Thinking about instaling a Real Steel "Stump Puller" cam in my rebuilt 4.6 with stage 2 heads.
Will also order the relevant valve springs, valve guides, lifters, adjustable rods etc...
Looking for maximum grunt at around 4500 RPM, am I on the right track ?
Many thanks,
Mick.
Hi all,
Forgive me if this is too but I want to fit a CB radio to my truck but know bugger all about them.
Question is does the location of the antenna compensate for it's length? In other words will a short antenna mounted up high perform better than the same length antenna mounted lower down?
Many thanks,
Mick.
Hi all,
Rebuilding a 4.6 to drop into my RRC pickup.
Don't want the aircon pump so looking for the part number for a serpentine without aircon.
Many thanks,
Mick.
Rog,
If I can find a belt that means I can do without it as an idler you can have the pump for the cost of the postage as it's no use to me.
If I can get a part number I'll PM you a picture.
Mick.
Thanks for that.
Anybody know a part number for this belt?
I know there is a part number thread somewhere but don't want to double post.
Many thanks,
Mick.
Hi all,
4.6 now in bits and not looking too bad, quick question if you don't mind:
When I drop it in the truck I've no intention of coupling up the air con, is there a shorter belt available to enable me to loose the compressor type thingy?
Many thanks,
Mick.
Can anybody recomend a cam please that would be best matched to stage 2 heads?
Would prefer the truck ('88 Auto) to remain driveable in traffic.
Many thanks,
Mick.
Before I modified my RRC I don't think I got a single wave but now it's non standard I get a wave or flash from most things with either a lift or a snorkel.
Mick.
Have welded the pillars, cut and welded the roof back together so it's time to think about paint.
Although I have the equipment to spray it I have never done it before, apart from brush painting it are there any other options?
If not is their anybody in Lancashire that is willing to teach me how to spray?
Beer tokens available B)
Thanks for the reply Steve but that dosen't appear to be correct, the bolt heads are on the converter side and there aren't any holes in the ring gear.
Mick.
Sorry to bother you again Gent's,
Can anybody give me any tips on how to remove the P38 torque convertor please?
Looking between the converter and starter ring gear I can see four bolt heads, assuming these are tightening some kind of taper lock how the hell do you undo them without turning the crank?
Many thanks,
Mick.
