  1. Looks like great work Paul... Well done.
  2. I took some pics of mine before I moved it. See if these help you out.... I managed to figure mine out again from these.. Fingers crossed for you...
  3. Just reading up on some things.... If I got worn Panhard bushes, will I need some serious pressing power to drift old out and new in ?? Any simple checks for UJ's people can suggest ?
  4. So just re-build the front end and all should be cured ! Don't know if it helps at all, but the wobble comes easier on the MT's.. Hardly there at all with the AT's ! Will look at Panhard bushes first I recon. Two sets of wheels and tyres giving same problem but different degrees of doing so... Doubts on wheel bearings as new disks fitted a short while back so should still be adjusted correctly.. (Unless someone advises me to investigate and not assume...) Will have a look at UJ while I'm under there... Then look at re-shim of swivel.... Maybe !!! Should keep me busy for a while !
  5. It should be but I thought I'd try it in the top hose where I already had a large hole and see what the results were like. It's set to run on the lower setting at present and trips in right on the button every time... Because I'm damn lazy, had a hole in the hose and it worked, I left it there...... (Sorry Si, but it was so pretty too, I left it were it would be seen occasionally...)
  6. Cleaned and changed back to AT's.... Not as violent but still there on occasions... (So ruling out Mud....) Will look in Int forum and see what those little babies look like !
  7. To date the streering on the 110 has been rock solid. I have been advised of slight wear evident in the N/S swivel hub but nothing I have noticed in the steering lately.... After a little "off-road" courtesy of Chris (GBMUD) on 30th I appear to have developed a wobble at no specified speed. It has appeared at 30 - 50, but usually after a little bump/rut/uneven edge of road.... The steering wheel shakes from side to side by several centimetres... It's controllable and stops if I grip the wheel firmly.... Is this likely to be further wear in the swivel hub ? Or maybe the steering damper given up the ghost ? Any suggestions / diagnosis options that I can investigate ? Thanks in advance.... Neil
  8. Happy New Year.... (Hic) ?? Why do the keys move around after a few drinks??
  9. Here are the pictures Rupert took yesterday.... I make no apologies for the number of pictures. Hopefully these represent a great day for many people..... Looked at the car this morning.... Didn't take long to get most of Wiltshire off the car though.... A fantastic day, great luck with the weather and well organised. Well done Chris...
  10. Chris.. Excellent.... Excellent and bloody great fun too...... Your hard work was very evident. Excellent overlays, great clues, altogether it was a hit in my books. Some of the water was a little deeper than I would have played with on my own, but since there were others having a go, who could say no !!! Rupert was over the moon so I think it was big hit with him too.... Nice to meet some new faces and put names/faces to the messages. Paul and Lorraine.. I do hope we weren't too boring or frightening, but thanks for putting your lives in our hands ! (They were our passengers for the day) Thankfully Rupert did take some (not many) pictures. I will grab them off him tomorrow and post them on this thread. If this is likely to be happening next year.. Book us up and we'll be there.... If you want to do a summer edition too, sign us up and we'll be there !!! (Car gets a bloomin good clean tomorrow and see if there is anything that needs a tweak....) Neil
  11. Oh.. Got water pump replaced yesterday.. Don't tell me I'm going to need wipers too ! LOL May have to have navigator on the bonnet swishing them back and forth or just calling directions back into the car ! Inverter now out of battery box so hopefully that'll be ok for the day.... (note to self: Pack dingy and oars...) (Or just head to the pub and blag the offroad stories...)
  12. Glad you ordered.... Saw this too late.. Company I've used successfully for camera stuff are Digital Depot... Your camera LINK On offer for £139 includes 512MB card... Hope all is well.... If not, you have an alternative... I have no association with DD but would recommend their service to anyone.... Bought loads of Canon stuff from them over the years, plus 4 or 5 other cameras for gifts etc....
  13. Well it's christmas, the goose has been shot and eaten etc... (Except we had Pork !!) Merry Grimbles to all out there in Land Rover world....
  14. If Axle stands are not available, I use railway sleepers.. (Well sections of..) Jask up, throw a few under and lower away ! Safe as er... Railway sleepers...
  15. Well thanks to Si up front..... Great idea and what a difference. Not being a fabricator as such I took the easy route and used some wood to clamp around the A Bars in the grill area and then clamped the lights to the wood. Wired up to feed relays off the main beam feed and hey presto. (Have switches in dash to isolate too) See what you think... After dark is where you see the diference.... How they look in the dark Dip Beam Main Beam And finally... X-lites..... I have two sets, one are spot and one set wide angle. Go on.. Fit yourself some... You know you want to !!
  16. Just had a look Paul and I like the clean design format you have chosen. Your Team page is a little wide for some screen resolutions.. Generally I format for 800x600 or make sure the text will wrap for lower resolutions. Looking good... If I drive over do I get a discount ? (approx. 1,300 miles... So that's 100 or so tanks of fuel, three services, 18 breakdowns and two changes of socks...) Keep it up.... Neil
  17. It's not true I tell ya..... It should read "always" and not "sometimes"
  18. Merry Christmas to one and all in the forums... Happy New year as well... (just in case I can't see to type at the New year...) Thanks for all your help in the past few months... Quite clearly the best LR resource on the net....
  19. When running my 110 is toasty warm and I rarely have it on full temp for long... If it's really cold outside I need to keep the fan on full to keep the back warm for the kids but I get ooodles of heat from the unit.... (You could always wear more clothes !!)
  20. Nuge.... Wot you doing to the engine now ? Thought it was actually running ok these days.... (Apart from the little misfire after giving it a serious dunking..) (And when did you change your name ? Preferred Nige..)
  21. Tony, I'll be heading down the M4 from the East to wherever the start point is.... Where is good for you ? (I don't think we'll be heading down the night before.... Will prolly just share the driving..) Maybe move this to PM's or email.
  22. I'm hoping we won't need rescueing until after I start Ralph !! (Maybe 5 or 10 mins..) Now getting worried this might need a small amount of intelligence... (Me and Co-driver/navigator, Rupert, will fail on that one big time !!) Looking forward to this more than Christmas !!
  23. I'd also try the grub screw.... Replaced one of mine that was a bit random and it now works fine. Still needed to play around with the cable as shown in the link Ralph posted to stop a loud clicking noise....
  24. Oh no.... Not something I had considered... (And this guy wants up to buy fantastic hi-tech solutions from him !!!) So glad to hear you found a solution....
  25. A certain someone was at my gaff for the weekend and is travelling back today / tomorrow.... I'm sure normal service will be resumed Wednesday onwards....
